  David Lloyd Review Overall, David Lloyd is a very good club with excellent facilities that make it a welcoming and enjoyable place for regular visits. The general staff across the club are consistently friendly, professional, and helpful, which greatly enhances the overall member experience. The restaurant staff, in particular, stand out as being very nice and attentive. Service is efficient, the team is always happy to accommodate requests, and I’ve had no problems at all. Food arrives promptly, and the dining atmosphere feels relaxed and well-managed — it’s genuinely one of the stronger aspects of the club. That said, there are a couple of areas where improvements would make a noticeable difference. One key issue is with children running around freely inside the club, particularly in the lounge and dining areas where other members and guests are trying to eat, relax, or unwind. While the club already provides good dedicated spaces for kids — including the outdoor park area and the indoor play area called DL Kids — the problem arises when parents are relaxing and eating in the main areas, yet their children are still running around unsupervised between tables, weaving through the space, or playing near people carrying trays. This can feel disruptive and occasionally unsafe for everyone involved. A clearer policy, more proactive reminders to parents, or better supervision expectations would help ensure that the dedicated play areas are actually used, allowing all members to enjoy the communal spaces comfortably. Another observation is that too many tables are taken up by people working on laptops for extended periods. While I’m guilty of using my own laptop from time to time, it does mean that seating can become limited for those who simply want to socialise, read, chat with friends, or have a quiet coffee. Designating specific tables or entire sections as laptop-free zones would be a practical solution. This would better balance the needs of remote workers with those looking for a more traditional club environment focused on leisure and relaxation. These are relatively minor points in the grand scheme, but addressing them would elevate the overall experience even further and help maintain the welcoming, balanced atmosphere that David Lloyd aims to provide for all members and guests.

  I had the most wonderful experience with Carrie Richards who showed me around the club, explained everything in great detail and made me so comfortable as this was the first time entering the club. I thought David Lloyd’s was lovely and would definitely recommend. Thank you Carrie for helping me you really did help more than you know!! I’m now so excited to embark on my new fitness journey with David Lloyd’s.
