- ISIan SaltMay 31, 20264.0As a wheelchair user, it would be good if that was included on my records so that adjustments could be made before I attend the appointment . It would be good if there was a space available in the seating area for the wheelchair, both in the waiting area by the printer and in the shop. My doctor's waiting room has a space label for disabled wheelchair users which makes me feel thought about and valued more. Whilst its kind to have chairs moved for you, it just takes the edge off feeling a valued customer if there doesn't seem to have been any forward thinking to provide a space. It'll be good if there was one examination room didn't have a chair opposite the eye charts, so the wheelchair can reverse up against the wall and not have to worry about transferring if they are able. A temporary could always be inserted if the shop was busy and there were no wheelchair users booked in.

I took my glasses in and made it absolutely clear that I wanted my original lenses returned to me, as they were expensive and important for maintaining the value of the frames. Months later, I was told they had been thrown away. To their credit, they admitted it was their mistake—but then offered just £70 compensation, which doesn’t come close to covering the actual loss. The lenses are no longer available, and without them the resale value of my glasses is significantly reduced. What’s most frustrating is the lack of a proper resolution. This has dragged on for months, taken up my time, and I’m now left out of pocket through no fault of my own. I expected a lot better from a company like Vision Express.
