  Following an urgent NHS 111 assessment for an allergic reaction to a wasp sting, I was referred to this pharmacy to collect antibiotics. On arrival, I was told their online system was down. After a very brief conversation, the pharmacist dismissed my concerns and refused to supply the antibiotics recommended by NHS 111, despite my leg being extremely painful, red, swollen, inflamed, and hard to the touch. I was simply told that it “wasn’t infected yet,” and she turned me away. NHS 111 had also advised me to ask about obtaining an EpiPen for future allergic reactions, but I was dismissed before I had the opportunity to discuss this. I work as an Anaesthetic Practitioner, and after leaving the pharmacy, both a surgeon and several colleagues assessed my leg and agreed that antibiotic treatment was appropriate. Overall, I felt my concerns were not taken seriously, and I was disappointed by the lack of assessment, competence and advice provided.

  Pharmacies often get bad press but I have always found the staff here to be helpful and only once have I had to wait longer than a few minutes. Today, Nicky helped me get a an exemption certificate that will save me at least £100 a year. Thanks Nicky!

  Tesco Pharmacy have been processing our prescriptions for the last three years. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I couldn't ask for better service. Thank you!
