I had not been able to get my eyes tested through illness, Sepsis in 2024, venus ulcers, which I had for three years , caused the sepsis; then respiritory acidosis just over a year ago. So when I had my eyes tested five years after I should have, I was concerned the Sepsis may have damaged my eyes. But I needn't have worried Specsavers were magnificent, all the staff were friendly and knowledgable, everything was on first name terms at all the stages of the process and attention to detail was second to none. I was impressed that new or training associates felt confident to consult a mire senior member of staff to check their work and to make sure everything was of the highest quality possible for me. When my eyes where tested, all the different lense testing was done wuith patience and accuracy to optimise my sight potential for all three parts of my vary focal lenses. I was also guided through the images of my retinar and optical nerve and reassured that my eyes are healthy, unaffected by the Sepsis and had only made normal expexted changes. When I collected my glasses and because I have had vary focals for a long time I was offered the option to pick up the first pair when they came in or collect both pairs when the second pair came in. I was also impressed by the attention to any additional needs of the client, I have some mibility issues and Specsavers where happy to arrange every step of the process down stairs and all doors are a good width and slpes are used to throughout. I also needed to be able to park near by and there are blue badge parking bays in front of Launceston Specsavers so that was easy to. The whole experience was wonderful. WELL DONE TEAM LAUNCESTON, CORNWALL!!

I dropped in to Launceston Specsavers on Saturday last on a whim because I had recently become aware of a big new floater in my left eye. To my amazement I was given an appointment Monday, a Bank Holiday, at 11 am. all the staff I encountered were polite, kind and patient, answered my questions and laughed at my jokes. In particular I was delighted to recognise the optometrist, Rose Burford, who is the granddaughter of an old frined of mine who died some years ago. She remembered me too. At the end of the test, I understood more than I ever knew about floaters, felt reassured that my eyesight was not in any danger and that, despite other routine tests over the years take because I have Type 2 Diabetes,, I have no signs of macular degeneration. The test was free, one of those you do on behalf of the NHS. First class!

I'm currently in recovery after suffering three osteoporosis fractures in my spine, and I couldn't fault the staff for their kindness & understanding. I was especially impressed by the optometrist, Ruth Nordman, who explained things very clearly and confirmed that the shock and pain I'd experienced after falling during recovery was likely to have affected my eyes as well as the rest of my body. I felt very well looked after all the way through from the start to when I picked up my new glasses & sunglasses, and was able to stay within the budget I'd set. Thank you all!
