First time as Customer at Vision Express, but the Staff are all helpful and welcoming. The Optician who tested my eyes was very thorough, patient and kind.

Seemed like a detailed eye test, and once it was completed and when they compared these test results with my previous one they concluded that it wasn't worth the expense of new glasses. Very upfront and honest, no pressure to renew my glasses.

The optician was excellent, and the team member who helped me choose my glasses was also really helpful and friendly, so I can’t fault the in-store experience. What has really let the whole experience down is the complete lack of any express delivery option. I explained that I needed the glasses as quickly as possible and was told they should hopefully come through on a faster turnaround, but there was no way to actually pay for or guarantee an expedited service. I now feel quite deceived by the whole process. Before payment, I was given the impression that they would do what they could to get the glasses through quickly. Once they had my money and the order was placed, the attitude seemed to change completely. It now feels very much like, “they’ll turn up when they turn up,” with no real concern about the urgency I had explained beforehand. That is what has annoyed me most. I would much rather have been told honestly from the outset that there was no way to speed the order up, rather than being reassured until payment was taken and then effectively told there is nothing they can do. For a company called Vision Express, it is surprising that there is no express or priority service available at all. Great staff in store, but the delivery system and the way expectations were managed afterwards have badly let the overall experience down.
