  The process was thorough and everything I have come to expect from Vision Express. Martina was very helpful in advising me on suitable frames and lenses and doing all the appropriate measurements.

  Attended my free eye test (which was painless, quick and detailed for each eye). Decided to reuse my old frames for my new lenses (good that they still had my frames) and was informed that I can pick up my new glasses in 10 to 14 days time. Excellent service thank you

  VisionExpress has always been my favourie, but I will never go back. Went in end of June to order glasses for my child. Turned out the NHS code hadn't been sorted and the staff member who could do it was off...was told it'd be done by Friday - 4 days after my visit. Paid in full and then... nothing. No calls, no updates. Had to ring them myself three weeks later to find out the glasses still weren't ready. Asked for a refund, was told they'd call me... never did. Even head office got involved and told the store to call, still nothing happened. Ended up going in myself over a month after paying, just to get my money back. Waited over 15 minutes while they figured out who could actually authorise it. And the original problem, the NHS code, still isn't sorted. Not once did anyone from the store contact me, I had to chase every single step of this. For kids' glasses, honestly pretty poor.

  Went for an eye test and contact lens check up. The optician was quite patronising and constantly telling me that I didn’t have a prescription for the lenses that I was wearing - as I explained this was not true as I had been given a prescription for the lenses from another optician six months before. It left me feeling belittled and like I wasn’t being listened to. After the appointment I was told to wait and would be offered a pressure test and to discuss the option of some different trial lenses. However this didn’t happen - after a few minutes, the optometrist asked if I wanted some new glasses (I didn’t) so he just handed my prescription and said goodbye to me, and went off to serve other customers. Not sure if there had been a breakdown in communication but nobody seemed interested beyond that point in time. I have previously had good service in this store so was quite disappointed with the experience I received.
