  Walked in to try and get seen as i suffered some sudden hearing loss, spoke to a lady at the counter who asvised me that the audiologist was currently in an appointment but would be out soon and as soon as she was done that she would ask her to speak to me to see if i could get looked at, (1hr later) the audiologist eventually Comes out and just goes into her next appointment. Given that the NHS don't really deal with hearing issues from what i have read online how is someone meant to get emergency care? Given that i was advised the next available appointment was over a month away? I am just don't understand the need to mess me around just tell me its appointment only and let me get on with me day. Went to an independent shop near Boots, got checked in 5 minutes and booked in later that week to get my issue sorted.

  Marion and Christi where wonderful. Very knowledgeable with my faulty hearing aid and had it fixed within minutes

  normally I love boots, but this was simply very poor, went to get ear checked out and there solution was to pull up google images and look for it there, I could do that from home! next and last time I went I got my glasses yes helpful sorting out space for me in my wheelchair, but found the glasses were worse than my old, and when selected my glasses 2 pairs, was contacted to say sorry cannot do the one I selected so had to rush to pick alternatives and found they were very poor. I will not ever be going again unless there is absolutely no other option. if you are in a wheelchair the place is mostly accessible the main section of the shop is spacious and easy to manoeuvre about in, the actual examination rooms are quite cramped and expect to have things moved about and asked to squeeze in to small spaces.

  Not impressed by the Ely branch. Never enough staff, not helpful when you are in there - it's like you are an inconvenience to their day and now cancelled an appointment without even telling us. What a waste of time and petrol that was. offered a replacement 15 minute appointment for a 1hour checkup!!!

  I’m so sorry to say Boots hearing aids , performance does not match the price !!! So disappointing! They are extortionately overpriced . They cost £3000. I recently lost one , probably due to mask wearing and spectacles . The charge for one replacement was £2000. I have now seen an NHS audiologist and their aids are a huge improvement.. costing zero !!!! I also found the charger was very Heath Robinson and flashed green lights. . It was impossible to charge in the bedroom! Very inconvenient .. I’m so sorry to have to say this .. especially having emailed my problems which fell onto ‘Deaf ears ‘. No response .
