I returned two pairs of glasses here under the 100 day guarantee. I wasn't happy with the quality of them, so I wanted my money back. It took three visits before the refund was done. The first time, on a Sunday, the shop was busy with plenty of staff around, but I was told nobody could process a refund without the manager and she wasn't in. I came back on the day they told me to (following Tuesday) and it still couldn't be done. Then my third appointment was moved at short notice, and I only found out because I rang the store beforehand. I was also told the manager wasn't available on the Saturday or Sunday, so a weekend refund wasn't an option and I had to take time out of my working day twice to get my refund. Good luck if your job isn't flexible. When I did see the manager she processed the refund without any fuss, and put the delays down to staffing availability. I don't blame her personally, but a store should be able to do a refund without the customer coming back three times, and if it can't, someone from head office should sort it out. I rang and emailed their complaints team as well, and nobody ever got back to me.

I recently went to get new glasses and I could literally only find the simple round silver or gold style I wanted here. Everywhere else was just doing too much with their glasses! There are plenty of spangly options here as well, but thank goodness they stocked the most normal pair of glasses at a normal price (~£50). I was assisted by Em who was absolutely lovely, communicated clearly and was nice to interact with. Even when I was having some technical issues with internet connection, and the store was overstimulating for me at that time, they remained positive and helpful and we got it all sorted in the end. The option to spread the cost of the glasses and lense thinning over 3 payments was extremely advantageous. Having to pay hundreds of pounds in one block had prevented me from getting my broken glasses replaced for months. I will definitely be considering vision express for any further glasses.
