  I was seen by Abdullah (Optometrist), who was attentive, thorough, professional and very kind. Nikki was very helpful and patient when guiding me through my glasses options, always putting my best interests first. The rest of the team were also friendly and helpful, even taking the time to straighten my current glasses. The excellent customer service and teamwork are the reason I keep coming back. Highly recommended!

  Two stars only because the optician himself was lovely, very attentive and very professional. However front of house staff were possibly some of the worse customer service examples I’ve come across, as someone who’s worked in a customer service facing for many years I can appreciate that sometimes it gets tiring and tedious however the customers experience should always come first, approached the store and all staff were sat down gossiping amongst one another, I arrive very early as I thought traffic would be worse than it was, apologised and said I understand I had to wait, when checked in comments were made about how early I was, and even had a “be a long 25 minute wait” comment. If it was busy of course I wouldn’t have bothered but I was the only customer in there, whilst sitting waiting I heard many comments that a customer shouldn’t, talks about other jobs they would like, how one member of staff was on her phone actually going through job adverts and discussing them and even some comments on passer bys or other enquiries. Once I had my eye test, I picked some glasses out I liked and asked if I could potentially look at some sunglasses, woman seeing to me literally pointed to where they were and then continued talking quieting, this made me feel very uncomfortable and I decided against some and bought online with my prescription from somewhere else. In a nutshell I won’t be returning to this store, it’s a night and day difference in customer experience compared to the Walkden store not to far away, who previously displayed some of the best customer experience I’ve ever experienced. I would like to express again how lovely the actual optician was it’s just a shame the front of house let down the experience.
