I always ask to see Claire because she's always been lovely, professional and thorough, and I'll definitely continue to ask for her in the future. Yesterday, we arrived around five minutes late because my autistic son was struggling with constipation and taking a long time in the toilet. ( He takes every piece of clothing off when toileting) We were doing everything we could to get there as quickly as possible. When we arrived, our lateness was commented on, and it was mentioned again during the eye test. I completely understand that appointments run to a schedule, but I have to admit it left me feeling a little uncomfortable and I was afraid my child would get upset and feel at blame. I just wanted to mention it because families with children who have additional needs can sometimes be delayed through no fault of their own, despite trying their very best. Hopefully, in situations where it's only a few minutes, there can be a little extra understanding and compassion. Other than that, the care we received was excellent, and we'll certainly continue to use Vision Express Barnsley.
