  I had an amazing experience at the store recently. After a couple of visits and enquiries, I decided to make my purchase. The optometrist, Ikrah paid close attention to detail and acted professionally and patiently. Mehak was especially nice and friendly and gave excellent advice on the best frames and lenses for my needs. Also not to mention Lucy and Wodeeha (I hope I get the spelling right), who had been very helpful. A year ago, I had an unpleasant experience with another staff member, an Asian middle-aged lady who rubbed the inside of my lenses with her bare fingers to check the thickness without cleaning them afterwards. This was very unhygienic and my lenses were left covered in her fingerprints, making them so cloudy I could barely see through them. I asked if she could clean them for me and only so she did it relunctantly. Despite the earlier incident, the recent service was outstanding, so I can’t recommend the store more!

  Lucy from the Birmingham branch was so so lovely! She helped fix my sunglasses free of charge and had such a welcoming customer service - thank you Lucy! 🤗

  I recieved advanced eye test, they did several tests to check eye was healthy and if my eye sight has changed. They were very thorough. They even helped pick out my new glasses. Very helpful and nice team.

  This branch is corrupt. I came in with a company voucher for an eye test and a £99 discount on prescription glasses. After doing the eye test and picking the glasses. The lady who was meant to process the order refused to use the voucher and claimed she can’t put it in the system creating a silly argument that I have distanced vision not near vision and so the office glasses dont apply ! I knew it was nonsense and requested a replacement voucher from my company. I went in to another branch of vision express in a different city and they processed the discount normally. I believe that employee is corrupt and was intentionally being unhelpful. I suggest if at all you need to go to vision express dont go to the bullring branch. They will make your life harder than it needs to be !

  Extremely disappointing product quality and customer service. One arm of my glasses fell off unexpectedly, so I stopped wearing them and kept them safely in their case. The second arm then also fell off while the glasses were sitting unused, clearly indicating a manufacturing or quality defect rather than accidental damage. When I visited the store, no proper inspection was carried out. I was simply told the frame could not be repaired and was pressured to buy another pair. More than two months after raising the issue, Vision Express has still not provided a satisfactory solution and expects me to pay for a problem caused by a defective product. Given the cost of the glasses, I expected a professional assessment and fair resolution—not pressure to spend more money. I would not recommend this store.
