  Ladies section is quite small for cardio with 5 treadmills, 2 rowing machines, 1 bike, 2 cross trainers. Busy periods you will have to wait for machines. Ladies sauna i find people letting others in who haven’t got the full membership to access the sauna so can get very crampt at times.

  This one is specifically for fimber the white guy big up smashing guy always let us finish our sessions even when its time to clock out he waits Also a request to the sparkhill gym if you can change the closing time to 12 at night be more appreciated other than that good gym all the basics equipment that you need good welcoming staff over n out

  I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by Umar and Nafisa at Places Leisure Centre Sparkhill . They were both incredibly patient, helpful, and supportive while assisting me with my registration. Their customer service was outstanding. They took the time to explain everything clearly, made the process easy to understand, and ensured that I felt comfortable throughout. Their kindness, professionalism, and thoughtful approach made a real difference. Thank you, Umar and Nafisa, for your excellent support and for providing such a positive experience.

  I came here today to register, but it was an extremely disappointing experience. The reception staff was surprisingly rude and unhelpful. On top of that, the facilities were filthy and poorly maintained—the gym toilets were untidy and completely lacked soap. It was honestly disgusting. I do not recommend this place until management takes basic hygiene and customer care seriously.

  If I can give 0 stars I would, the Asian female life guard and the swimming teacher wearing hijab are utterly disrespectful and have no manners. They tried saying I have mental health problems after I told her I don’t like the way she spoke to me. Throughout my visit, I also observed the same 2 staff members speaking to both adults and children in an unnecessarily aggressive manner, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere around the pool. I raised my concerns with the duty manager, but instead of the situation being handled professionally, the staff continued laughing and behaving disrespectfully in front of him. This only added to my disappointment. I understand that lifeguards have an important job to do and that they sometimes need to enforce rules. However, there is a respectful and professional way to communicate with paying customers, and I did not experience that here with these 2 females. It has really put me off coming to this pool and I have now cancelled my membership. I pay £30 a month for my membership, and I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling frustrated rather than able to enjoy or relax at the facility. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this leisure centre if you are looking for a welcoming and respectful environment.
