  note to self: stick to specsavers! I’ve been with specsavers for over 18 years but thought I should try out another place as I wasn’t too keen on the current glasses options specsavers had in store. I browsed around at a few places and eventually liked some glasses at vision express. My overall experience with vision express is POOR customer service. When choosing my glasses, I was offered a seperate room to try on the different options so I could comfortably remove my hijab, which is thoughtful. However, I felt quite rushed. The shop was quiet with just 1 other customer. The lady was speaking very fast and I could tell she was in hurry to get me signed up to a direct debit without actually considering my needs. She was also quite distracted on her phone and jumping in and out of conversation with me and the phone. Anyways, I signed up because the glasses themselves were quite nice. I went on the scheme that gave me 2 pairs. One of pair of glasses was ready in a few days to pick up but due to a national shortage of the specific lens I wanted, the second pair was ready around 3 weeks later. I got a text message to tell me the glasses had arrived but the email updates had stopped and the website did not reflect the same update as the text. Hence, i rang the store. I rang multiple times and there was no answer. I decided to pop in. The shop was not busy whatsoever. There were 2 staff members who were both being served and there was 1 other staff member standing around so I’m not too sure why the phone wasn’t being answered. I waited at the desk for 5 minutes making eye contact continuously with the free staff member to get her attention. Firstly, specsavers would NEVER. What I love about specsavers is you’re greeted by warm smiling faces and sparkling eyes as soon as you enter the store and god forbid they’d make you wait even 30 seconds without a hi, how are ya? So I took it upon myself to ask: Can i get some help? The lady comes over (with zero enthusiasm might i add) and says yes. I then ask if my glasses are ready to pick up. She ushers me to the chair and gets me to try them on. She does then proceed to adjust them for me and I was satisfied with this part. I think my main complaint is the lack of manners and consideration of the customer which is lacking at vision express.

  This was my first visit, i suffer from severe anxiety, all the staff were amazing. They were patient and explained each process and didnt make me feel like i was a nuisance. I would highly recommend the blackburn branch . They are professional and very welcoming

  This visit was for a four week follow up following cataract surgery. Very knowledgeable specialist who explained everything in a clear to understand way. Recommended
