- IIIt Is What It IsSep 24, 20261.0I am extremely disappointed with my experience at David Lloyd Dundee. I had already entered the club and used the facilities and was only challenged as I was leaving because my membership profile did not contain a photograph of my face. I cooperated fully and offered valid UK photographic ID to prove I was the genuine membership holder. My profile image is the Sikh Nishan Sahib, which has significant personal and religious meaning to me and gives me motivation and confidence when attending the gym. Despite offering identification, a stop/restriction was subsequently placed on my membership. Having reviewed the membership terms and policies available to me, I have been unable to find anything expressly stating that I must have a facial photograph stored on my profile or that my membership can be restricted for not doing so. I also found the member of staff’s manner impolite and unprofessional. As the only person from an ethnic minority background in the immediate situation, the way I was approached left me feeling singled out and uncomfortable. I cannot know the reason for this, but I believe it is important to state how the interaction made me feel. I completely understand the need to prevent membership misuse, but I was willing and able to prove my identity with legitimate UK photographic ID. For a premium health club, I expected this to be handled with far more professionalism, respect and understanding.
- RSR SmithSep 9, 20261.0Place stinks, everything is grubby and is far too busy. Could never get parked to actually use my membership so cancelled my membership. Will keep this 1star review until you stop sending debt collector letters
