I have used Target Optical since I first needed glasses 8 years ago, and they have always been great. Easy to schedule, priced well. Dr. Tristan at this location was informative. I felt like he took the time to update my prescription appropriately and talk about changes in my eyes. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for eye care. The staff also had some frames pre-picked out for me based on what I was wearing before - the recommendations helped cut down my decision time - very helpful!

Our first visit with Dr. Brown was great. He was by far the most thorough doctor my daughter has seen and truly cared about my daughters eye issues. He took the time to answer any questions she or I had and had great table side manners!

TLDR: Dr. Brown refused to renew contact prescription with economy brand I have been using for 4 years. Instead, insisted on $ follow-up visits while upselling me on more expensive brands. I have been to several optometrists including ones based out of Target optical. Never has an optometrist tried to stretch out a simple contact prescription renewal into more than one visit. I explained that I have been wearing the same brand of contact for 4 years. This brand of contact has been confirmed a proper fit by other optometrists (they're also in the target system, and I identified them by name), and my eyes were confirmed as healthy. This particular brand of contact is in the Target database, so it's not an unfamiliar brand. The specs of the contacts were available to the Dr., so it was possible to confirm that everything worked with my eye. Instead, this Dr. insisted on ordering samples to secure a second visit, doubling the amount I would have to pay to get my contacts renewed. The Dr. became agitated when I asked if this multi-visit thing was a new change to policy, as I have never in my years of needing glasses/contacts needed more than 1 visit, and also became agitated with I explained that i did not plan on ordering contacts/glasses through Target. She insisted that it was procedure, and while she could "take my word for it", required me to return for another visit, despite having more than enough information to write a prescription for the brand I requested. The Dr. also insisted on pushing a different brand, which is more expensive after some research, and left me no choice but to walk out without the ability to renew my contacts. I respect the hustle. I know everyone needs to make money, but I don't mess around with my ability to see. This behavior has not been the standard practice with any of my previous optometrists, and I do not plan on taking off work again to essentially pay double, to confirm the fit of a brand of contact that has worked comfortably with me for 4 years, fit to me by other optometrists.
