For over 99 years, Wills Memorial Hospital (WMH) has touched the lives of families, neighbors, and friends in Wilkes and surrounding counties. WMH opened its doors at the current location in 1961 as a public, non-profit hospital. Today, WMH is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, employing 190 full and part-time staff, and dedicated to providing quality care for over 19,000 residents primarily in a three-county radius.
WMH opened the doors to its new and renovated $12 million state-of-the-art Inpatient Wing, Main Entrance, Specialty Clinic, Emergency Room, OR waiting area, Inpatient Pharmacy, Respiratory Care, and Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy gyms in 2012.
