This is an honest review for anyone considering this office. If I could give zero stars, I would.
I genuinely don’t understand how this practice has so many positive reviews, it makes me question how those reviews are being obtained.
My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM. I waited about 40 minutes in the waiting room, then was taken to a room where I waited another 40 minutes before the doctor came in. Over an hour of waiting with no communication or acknowledgment.
I will say, the only positive part of this experience was the front desk staff. They were very kind, apologetic, and clearly aware that long wait times are a recurring issue here, which says a lot in itself.
When Dr. Shaikh finally came in, he rushed in without introducing himself and immediately gave off a dismissive, hurried energy. His bedside manner was extremely poor. He stood behind me rather than engaging face-to-face, which made it uncomfortable to even discuss my concerns.
I came in with multiple issues: facial redness/itching, a bump on my scalp, skin tags, and hair loss. Instead of a thorough evaluation, everything felt rushed and incomplete. When I asked questions, he often didn’t answer them directly and seemed uninterested in explaining anything.
The most concerning part was the skin tag removal. I was told it would be $150 for 10, and I clearly stated I had more than that and was most concerned about the larger ones. Despite that, he removed smaller, barely noticeable ones and left a large one behind, then told me I’d have to come back and pay another $150 to remove more.
After I expressed that I wanted the larger ones removed, he shifted the blame to me, saying I should have pointed them out. That’s unrealistic, I don’t have eyes in the back of my head. As the provider, I would expect him to guide that process, especially after I clearly communicated my concern. The procedure itself was also much more painful than expected. I’ve had skin tags removed twice before and it was quick with minimal discomfort. This time, I could literally hear them being cut off, and several bled significantly, requiring bandaging, something I’ve never experienced before.
On top of that, my other concerns, like hair loss and dry skin, were brushed off with “we can talk about that next time.” After already waiting over an hour, being told to come back (and pay again) for basic concerns felt completely unacceptable. There was no reason those couldn’t have been addressed during the same visit.
Overall, this experience felt unprofessional, rushed, and financially driven rather than patient-focused. It honestly felt more like a med spa focused on upselling than a legitimate dermatology practice.
I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for thorough, ethical, or compassionate care.
