Atlanta Bariatrics specializes in weight loss surgery for morbidly obese patients. Atlanta Bariatrics at Johns Creek Surgery, PC has served the Atlanta community for over 15 years offering the most comprehensive treatment for patients suffering from obesity. Representing the best in their fields, Atlanta Bariatrics’s surgeons, Dr. Christopher J. Hart and Dr. William H. This group is amazing! I know the Lord led me to them. I can’t emphasize enough how knowledgeable, kind, and caring Dr. Hart, his nurses, nutritionists, and staff are! They all want to see you succeed and work with you to ensure they recommend what is best for your current needs. They don’t rush anything as they put your health first. I’m truly blessed they are a part of my team of doctors and nutritionists!

Not just for bariatric surgery! They also provide excellent service and results for health/wellness/and weight loss. Felt very comfortable getting weight loss injectables through an actual doctor and with the guidance and help of their nutritionists. I only wanted to lose stubborn 10-15 lbs from last baby and hormones. I felt so comfortable and almost justified for just wanting to lose that little weight and Dr Johnson made sure I was doing it the right way and was HAPPY to be part of the little journey. No judgment. No guilt. Just excitement and gratitude to be part of this little journey. I had super quick results and they were great at following up and are so kind and supportive! This does NOT cost more than these wellness clinics or small Botox kind of places and you will get MORE from working with a REAL doctor and team. It’s convenient, family feel, and you feel 100% safe. Very organized from first appointments, telemed, to billing. So happy with myself and my results! Back to my old jeans! Seriously… go see them!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Atlanta Bariatrics

Is bariatric surgery covered by insurance?

Some insurance plans now understand the medical necessity of weight-loss surgery and will give approval. However, each insurance carrier has its own idiosyncrasies. Our staff can help guide you through the insurance maze. For those patients for whom insurance does not cover obesity surgery, our office can provide you with information on other payment methods.

Is bariatric surgery considered cosmetic surgery?

No. Although patients feel much better about their appearance after weight loss, the purpose of surgery is to become healthier. Weight loss surgery may alleviate or help the patient avoid weight-related diseases. From an insurance standpoint, the surgery is definitely not cosmetic.
