  I cant say enough good about dr capes and his staff they treated me with respect and did a outstanding job on my implants and answer my stupid questions after the surgery I went to Jacksonville dental specialist on the first time for extractions and implants there i was treated horrible rushed in rushed out and looked down thier noses at cause I was sent thete by the VA look at reviews of them they treat vets badly. BUT here I was treated just outstanding by Dr Capes and staff this is the place you want to go from start cant say enough good about them they treat everyone with respect no matter who you are and I Got the T shirt to prove it

  Dr. Mattox and his staff charged me $119 for nothing. I had a broken tooth that needed to be pulled. It was hurting and I couldn’t eat. I got to my appointment early, had all paperwork filled out. For them to tell me they couldn’t pull it that day. I didn’t want sedation, just getting it out as soon as possible. My appt was for 1, I got there at 1230. But the office closed at 2 and they didn’t want to stay a few minutes to pull it. I ended up having to go to another dentist out of network and paid to have it pulled. I’m a single mom and don’t have all this money to be spending. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous they wouldn’t accommodate someone in pain, crying in their office. I would never recommend this office for anyone. Go to Pennington. Her staff is caring and not afraid to put the patient first. Edit to add: Dr. Capes called me personally following my review. He apologized for how I was treated by Dr. Mattox and staff and stated if he had been there he would have made sure I was taken care of same day. Despite having been told they don’t do same day treatment. He even sent me my money back since I had to go elsewhere the same night for treatment. He was kind and considerate and said he was going to use my experience as a learning lesson for training. He also followed up with a personal handwritten note a week later. I would absolutely give Dr. Capes another try next time I’m in need. I appreciate his thoughts and follow up and I can respect any business owner that wants help in fixing mistakes. No one is perfect.

  Dr. Mattox extracted my daughters wisdom teeth and it went fantastic! Dr. Mattox and the staff were very professional and caring. They explained the procedure to where we understood what was going to happen, which made my daughter feel comfortable with getting the procedure done. I highly recommend Dr. Mattox and his staff!

  Dr Capes made my experience of multiple teeth being extracted (in one visit) an easy ordeal, and he was able to do it without causing pain. His bed side manner is like none other I visited over the past year as I made my decision on who to hire for oral surgery.. He's very down to earth, easy to talk to, answers all your questions and is highly professional.. He's the best oral surgeon in this area in my opinion. He's just an all around great guy and he's been doing this for a very long time. I highly recommend him. Easy 5 stars from me!
