As a first-time mom, I had the best experience at this hospital. All of the nurses were incredibly kind and comforting, and they were very attentive to my needs. I especially want to thank Ms Asia, Ms Dayana, and Ms Tiffany, ms. Yolanda . I also feel terrible that I can't remember the lactation nurse name, but she was amazing and so helpful with my lactation journey. My experience was a 10/10 and i definitely recommend!!!

Everyone at the pain center works together, are very pleasant, listen/empathetic... AND THEY HELP! Dr Ashley is especially incredible. When I have problems with my pain medicine she listens, understands and gives me options that really help. Her nurses are also incredible. No matter how many times I call in distress, they call back asap and are patient/understanding. The front desk is awesome, efficient and very pleasant, always a smile on their face and that really helps when I'm in pain! .I TRULY APPRECIATE THEM ALL!

I am so impressed with the changes in this hospital and staff. Arriving by EMT in emergency, they moved into action within minutes. When I was admitted hour’s later the nursing team I had for the next three days were stellar. While the Doctors developed the plan of action, the tireless nurses implemented it. I would like to send blessings and thanks to each one of you on the second floor from room 229. You saved me❤️ and gave me time with my beautiful grandchildren. Thank you

My experience at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center was not just frustrating it raised serious concerns about patient safety. I came into the ER with symptoms consistent with a possible stroke. Instead of being treated with urgency, I waited nearly five hours just to be evaluated by a neurologist via video. During that time, there was little to no communication, no reassurance, and no sense that my condition was being taken seriously. Let me be clear when someone presents with stroke-like symptoms, time matters. The lack of urgency I experienced is unacceptable in an emergency setting. What made the situation even more concerning was the environment. While patients were visibly in distress, several staff members appeared disengaged laughing, joking, and socializing while the waiting room was full. It did not feel like an emergency department operating with urgency or awareness of what patients were going through. At one point, there was even a family present who appeared to be on the verge of losing a loved one. The emotional weight in that room was real, yet the level of attentiveness from staff did not reflect that at all. However, I need to take a moment to recognize Stephanie in ED triage because she was the only person during my visit who demonstrated what real patient care should look like. Even though she was not originally assigned to me, Stephanie made it her business to step in. At one point, the triage nurse who was assigned to me questioned what she was doing, and Stephanie clearly responded that she was taking me upstairs to my room. She didn’t hesitate, she didn’t ignore the situation she took action. She paid attention, she followed through, and she made sure I was finally moved to a room upstairs on the 4th floor that had already been prepared for me. She showed urgency, accountability, and genuine concern without being asked. In a room where I felt overlooked and uncertain, she made me feel seen and prioritized. That matters more than people realize. If Piedmont Eastside values patient care, Stephanie should be recognized and used as the standard not the exception. This ER needs serious review. Patients should not feel ignored when seeking emergency care especially for something as critical as potential stroke symptoms. I hope this is addressed before someone else has a worse outcome.

For the most part, nobody wants to go to the hospital. I had to have a procedure done this week. From check-in to check-out, this was an incredibly positive experience. The admission process was simple. The nursing staff were like a 'pit crew'. Everyone knew what to do, highly efficient and super friendly. They kept me informed about what they were doing and why they were doing it. The next group of people were the ones doing the procedure. I was blown away by how comforting and empathetic the staff was. There were so many people working on me. I wish I knew all their names. They kept me and my family informed. They explained things in a way that I could understand. There were 3 people specifically that honestly, completely made this very scary experience manageable. I'm not going into too much detail but sufficed to say, I can't speak highly enough about them. While I hope nobody has to go to the hospital, if you do, you can rest easy knowing the staff at Eastside will care for you and about you.
