I had a very disappointing experience with a charge nurse named Delphine in the South Tower, first floor, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. My mother was admitted a few days ago, and when I initially approached the desk to ask a simple question about her discharge, I was met with rudeness and a combative attitude. Instead of providing helpful information, she responded defensively by listing everything she had done for my mother, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. She also made a comment implying that if I filed a complaint, nothing would happen, which was very concerning. Unfortunately, the situation escalated further on my way out nearly four hours later. While I was speaking to my sister and simply pointing out who had been rude earlier, Delphine inserted herself into the conversation, asked if I was referring to her, and then became combative again. This second interaction reinforced the lack of professionalism and respect. What made this experience even more upsetting is that Delphine is fully aware of my mother’s condition. My mother has suffered a stroke, seizures, and dementia, and had not been eating for weeks before being admitted. Seeing her become more alert after receiving IV fluids gave us a small sense of hope during an already emotional time. Despite knowing how serious and heartbreaking this situation is for our family, Delphine showed no empathy or compassion in the way she spoke to us. That lack of sensitivity toward a family going through such a difficult moment was deeply hurtful. Families are already dealing with a lot when a loved one is hospitalized. Staff should demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times. I hope hospital leadership takes this seriously and works to ensure better communication, accountability, and compassionate care moving forward.

I went to the ER Thursday night, I was having severe abdominal pain, pain I have never experienced before in my life. I was crying and for that the nurses left me alone, I was crying for help and no one was around. After a few nurses show up (a good hour later) they are sitting at the desk showing off pictures on social media, I tell them I feel like I’m going to throw up, after I started vomiting the most painful vomit I hear a nurse telling me to use the vomit bag, like I had control over my body’s reaction to throwing up. You can tell majority of the nurses are there for a check (last time I checked my insurance and my oop is paying their salary).I even over heard the same nurse tell another team member “I’m getting rid of the one in 3” like her patients are not people just objects. Thank god for nurse Annie, after what felt like hours she started her shift and I could tell a difference immediately. She never left me alone, she check in on me so often I could tell she genuinely cared about me. Nurse Annie I hope this review finds you and you know that I appreciated your love and compassion, keep being the best nurse you can and don’t let your ill performing coworkers have an influence over you. You are a blessing, you have a very special gift and I will always remember you.

My husband came into the ER on March 4th,2026 couldn't breathe, they did everything in the world they could of done except trake him, his oxygen was so low they had to tube him and take him to ICU. The ER nurses were the best, very compassionate, knowledgeable and explained everything they were doing. So he went up to ICU for 14 days,he showed no improvement and the vent was breathing 90 percent for him,he stayed in ICU for 14 days, they even went above and beyond to consult with Emory. There was nothing else they could of done,he had the flu 1 for 7 days, went to work the following Wednesday ,that night he went to the ER. The staff on the ICU unit was great,I can't say enough about the care and treatment he got, they tried so hard to help him recover but,his lungs were to bad for him to ever breathe on his own, he also had copd from smoking for years, I had to make the biggest decision of my life,he's no longer with us. BUT I can't express enough how impressed I was with the ER and ICU unit, they were just great, I will recommend Piedmont Newnan every time if asked which hospital should I take my love one. Thanks for everything Piedmont Newnan yall went way above in everything you did.

Google needs to consider a negative option for the stars. Change the color from yellow to red… This was my absolute worse experience in an emergency room since COVID days. I only went because I saw they had a short wait time and I was in excruciating pain. I was triaged, told to give a urine sample and sit back down. I had to ask a nurse to take the sample, no one ever asked me for it. Then I was called to the triage room to see a nurse and he proceeded to give me 3 medications BEFORE a doctor or PA laid eyes on me. Then told to go back to the waiting room. Was called to the same triage room again by the PA, she talked to me for exactly 6 minutes… I never even sat down in the “treatment” area… she pressed on my back (while I stood), ordered prescriptions, printed paperwork and sent me on my way. Puzzled. No xray, no scan? Nothing? Medications BEFORE being seen?? What kind of operation are y’all running?? I won’t be back and I advise you, the gentle reader, to seek care elsewhere.

I truly regret going to Piedmont Newnan after having to go to Urgent Care and Piedmont Fayetteville for an issues I brought to the PAs at Piedmont Newnan. I’ll give the specifics. I arrived due to severe headache and high blood pressure (normally I do not have high blood pressure). After two or more hours there, I felt very sick to my stomach, became nauseated and eventually threw up. I informed the PA which she took a CT of my stomach and said nothing was wrong. Shift change new PA. I told PA Dustin that I felt very sick and was having abdominal pain. He said he saw my CT and there is nothing there. I insisted that I was sick, then he shocked me “three can things happen when you visit the ER, one your sent home, two we admit you, or three you DIE. The look on my face told him to clean that up, he then said, and your going home. My headache hadn’t gone away, but it wasn’t severe, but my abdominal pain was severe to me. I told Dustin that I felt sick. He then said that the ER’s job is to get you out of severe pain and refer you to your PCP or other specialist. I was released on 3/13/26, I was in pain the entire weekend. Couldn’t take the pain anymore, so I went to Urgent Care on 3/15, excellent PA, referred me to ER, my illness was beyond what they could do, but he was very thorough with his examination of me. So, on Monday, I decided to try Piedmont Fayetteville, and oh what a difference in my care. The doctor did a complete examination, bloodwork, urine test, and CT. She gave me medications that stopped my pain and a prescription that has continued to help because the pain did come back. I’m so please with the care and treatment I received at Piedmont Fayetteville. I think the difference is Newnan ER has PAs and Fayetteville ER has doctors.
