- SKShawn KellerMar 31, 20262.0Be warned about inflated pricing! I went to Pearle Vision because they were one of the few providers in-network with VSP when my son’s regular eye doctor didn’t have availability. The optometrist herself was great—professional, friendly, and thorough. That’s the only reason this isn’t a 1-star review. Unfortunately, everything else was frustrating. The assistant who did the pre-exam testing was not pleasant, and the overall experience felt rushed and impersonal. More concerning was the billing. We were charged for a full contact lens fitting, even though my son already wears contacts and only needed an updated prescription. To add, our normal eye doctor never charges that fee. That felt unnecessary and like an easy way to add extra charges. The pricing for contacts was shocking. We were quoted over $850 for a year supply after insurance. For comparison, the exact same contacts were about $450 at Sam’s Club (with insurance) and $417 through 1-800 Contacts without using insurance at all. That kind of markup is hard to justify. Between the questionable billing and inflated pricing, I would not return. If you do go here, I strongly recommend asking very specific questions about charges upfront and shopping around before buying contacts or glasses.

My favorite eye doctor, Dr. Joseph Goncalves is knowledgeable, professional, and truly attentive. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and consistently provides excellent service. Every visit is a positive experience, and I always feel confident that I’m in good hands. It’s just a great place all around.
