- JJjkyleh1Jan 3, 20241.0I had an absolutely horrible experience this morning that should have been just a simple phone call. I take a medication that is a controlled substance, which I have taken for 4-5 years. As prescribed. I always call in a few days before I am out of medication, so that I can schedule where I am that day for work. This morning I called in to ask the same thing. When asked, the pharmacy technician laughed at me and said, "yeah, that's too early to fill, is there anything else I can help you with?" And I reiterated that I was fine on the medication but just wanted to know what day I can refill. This medicine has also been on back order for months, and often, I have to call multiple pharmacies to find it and it is crucial that I be proactive. She replied, "you can refill the j day 28, just count from the day you had it filled. And then said thank you" and hung up. I was really almost in tears as she was clearly implying that I was trying to fill my prescription early. I was embarrassed by someone who is supposed to be a healthcare provider. I composed myself and called back. I asked for a manager, Jayda said "she's not in". And I asked when and how I could speak with her and she said, "she's on maternity leave. I don't know." So then I asked if there was a corporate email or phone number that I could reach out to. Her response was, "Mr. Hazell, it's on Google." And hung up on me again. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office and will be having my prescriptions transferred to another Kroger pharmacy. I will stick with Kroger Pharmacy as I have only ever experienced helpful and friendly service from others.

But I also use please and thank you so if you get ‘rude’ treatment maybe you deserved it?! I have no complaints for this pharmacy, only praise.
