I went here and had an exam done and ordered 3 pair of glasses that I wanted to have before a trip I was taking. One being sunglasses. Got a text that they were in. I drove from Charlotte NC to go pick up glasses, when I arrived the sunglasses were not sunglasses, just regular lenses put in the sunglasses frame. The girl said she forgot to check tint on the form. Okay, accidents happen. I asked would I get them before my trip, the guy said he would put a rush on them. I called yesterday to check on status of glasses, the girl that answered phone said they would not be in until after my trip. I explained that the man said he would put a rush on them. I needed these and this was not a mistake on my end, but in theirs. I asked if she could call the lab and see what the status was, she told me NO. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she would give the manager my phone number and that she would get back to me within the next 2 business days. I said so I have to wait that long to speak with a manager, she stated that I would.
I spend almost $700 dollars after my insurance and this is the customer service you get from here. I will NEVER purchase glasses here again, nor will my boyfriend who usually goes here.
Unbelievable!

KENAN was so helpful and incredibly patient with me and my two kids when I was ordering and getting fitted for our glasses. I can tell he really cares about customer satisfaction because he was reassuring, and answered all of my questions with knowledge and patience. Thank you KENAN!!

I had a great experience at LensCrafters with Mr. Desmond I came in needing help with my frames, and they assisted me right away—completely free of charge. The staff was kind, professional, and didn’t make me feel rushed or pressured at all. It’s rare to find that level of customer service these days. I really appreciate their help and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience at LensCrafters in Webb Gin. When I entered the store, no one greeted me. The staff’s attitudes were extremely standoffish and unwelcoming.
I came in specifically to have my PD and ocular center measured, which my email from LensCrafters stated could be done at any local location. However, the older Caucasian woman looked at me as if she didn’t believe what I was saying. A young Black gentleman with dreadlocks also questioned where I bought my frames. I explained that I purchased them from LensCrafters.
The interaction felt very dismissive. He measured me quickly right at the counter instead of assisting me properly. The week prior, another employee at this same location had taken me to a table and explained that I would need to bring my frames in order to be measured. When I returned with the frames as instructed, no one even asked to see them.
The lack of consistency and professionalism was frustrating. After sharing this experience with my sister, she mentioned that customer service at this location has always been poor and she's experienced the same thing with the older lady and gentleman.
Management should seriously consider retraining staff on basic customer service and communication, because this experience did not reflect the level of service customers should expect.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
