    I don't understand why the google rating for this facility is so low. I've been at the Piedmont Imaging facility in Kennesaw twice in the last 6 months. The facility is clean and parking is plentiful. All the staff are warm, efficient and helpful. The wait time was minutes and my knee MRI took only 15 minutes and I was out the door. Thank you all for a pleasant experience!

    Piedmont Healthcare is very difficult to deal with. I had a scan in Kennesaw on December 29th that was pre-authorized by my insurance and fully covered, but Piedmont keeps submitting the bill with a different billing code than was used to submit the preauthorization so the claim keeps getting denied. I’ve wasted hours on the phone trying to resolve this and every time I call they say they will resubmit it and that can take 30-45 days but I need to call to check every 2 weeks because they don’t follow up unless I call. It’s absolutely horrible customer service and a complete waste of my time - will never use Piedmont again.

    Great facility, but Piedmont's fraudulent billing practices offsets a great initial experience. This facility is amazing. The people there are very friendly. I've been here for three procedures and each time I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the Piedmont organization likes to overbill you and refuses to refund overpayments. I've had this happen multiple times from Piedmont as an organization. My most recent example was a CT scan on December 8th. I was told I needed to pay a pretty high amount at the time of service. When I got my EOB, the amount I owed was $242.72 less than what I was charged at the time of service. On February 14th, I requested a refund of the over payment and was told "You have an open claim for the visit on 1/5/24, refunds will not approve a refund request with an open claim or a balance due on the account.". I immediately responded stating that was a separate transaction that had nothing to do with the Dec 8th DOS. After insurance was processed, I made the payment on 2/24 for the 1/5 DOS leaving me with no pending items. After asking repeatedly for someone to respond, I finally got a response on 3/11 stating "I have placed an itemized statement in today’s mail to go out to the address we have here on file for you. Thank you for choosing Piedmont, have a great day.". I responded stating that I didn't need an itemized statement, I needed a refund. Since this time Piedmont refuses to respond to my requests for a refund. My messages sent through MyChart are closed as "resolved" with no response at all.
