The nurse and doctor were extremely nice and professional. It was a busy Saturday so I waited in the room quite a bit longer than the nurse initially told me. But that’s alright. Doctor was very concerned and listened to me, I didn’t feel rushed. Checking in at home before I left is great, although I did have a difficult time uploading the picture of my license. It kept saying the file was too big. I have heard from other people that they had a tough time with that also and some just gave up on it and went elsewhere. Overall a good urgent care and affordable for cash payers

I went to MainStreet Family Care this morning due to a bladder infection. I cannot say enough about the wonderful care (medical and otherwise) that I received there from Holly and Nita and the rest of the staff!!! They were all so kind and extremely thorough. Nita even explained to me the cause of and what to do about 1 other (non-urgent) marker of concern that they had found in my urine sample, which was extremely helpful! Also, Nita made sure to prescribe an antibiotic that would be effective but not harsh on my GI system as the last one I took was.
The electronic check-in process took a little time but they were quick to help me thru it. There was 1 patient ahead of me but I was in and out of the clinic in less than an hour. I’m so so very grateful for all the clinicians there at this location in Ellijay!!! They are a huge blessing to our community!!!

The best Dr. ever. NP Murray was the epitome of ethics, kindness and empathy. I would drive to Athens to see her. Sometimes Jesus sends you an angel. Pamela Murray was mine today and I thank you.

My first experience today (3/2/2026) at MainStreet Family Care, was excellent!
The patient portal to register and set up an appointment was easy and efficient.
The entire staff was very friendly and professional.
I typically go to Riverstone Walk-in Clinic, as my primary provider is there.
MainStreet Family Care is far superior to Riverstone, by leaps and bounds!
Thank you!

I went to urgent care for cold symptoms, including shortness of breath and a cough. They ordered a chest X-ray to check my lungs. After reviewing it, they told me my heart was on the opposite side of my body (dextrocardia) and advised me to go to the ER immediately.
Naturally, I was extremely alarmed and went straight to the ER. Once there, they reviewed my previous X-rays and took new ones, only to tell me that my heart is completely normal and nothing was wrong. Aside from having a cold, I was fine.
As a result, I ended up paying over $400 at the ER on top of what I had already paid at urgent care — all for something that turned out to be incorrect. The experience caused significant stress and anxiety, and it was very upsetting to be told I had a serious heart abnormality when that was not the case.
I’m not sure whether the X-rays were mislabeled, misread, or mixed up, but this was a very distressing experience and could have been handled much more carefully.
