Absolutely horrible experience. Brought my 13 year old daughter in for a strep test. While filling out the forms, I opted to also have her tested for flu/covid since she was running a low grade fever for 3 days with a sore throat and body aches. Not my first child, so I'm not one to freak out but I did want to have a strep test just in case. However, I also know my kid has had a much higher fever for days longer, present way sicker than she appeared, and it be just a virus. Nurse Practitioner Val came in and stated I should never have allowed my child to be so sick for 3 days and she probably had meningitis. She also said that she would have taken her own child to the ER days ago. For real, a descending 100.6 fever with sore throat (not even red or spotted), and body aches does not seem like a true emergency to me. That's exactly why I went to a Little Clinic instead of the ER. My child had strep 1 other time in her life so I don't know her strep symptoms and thought it couldn't hurt to get tested. I thought I was being proactive by getting her checked. Val was rude and unprofessional to me acting like I was a terrible mom. Since she frightened my daughter and me into thinking she had meningitis, we of course went to the ER. Four hours later in the waiting room, $250 ER deductible, then hours in an ER room, x-rays and a million tests later, it was confirmed, she just had a virus. ER doctor's couldn't believe a NP sent a child to them to be tested for meningitis, which is done by a spinal tap by the way. Shame on Val for over reacting, making me feel like a terrible parent, and freaking out my child. Not to mention wasting the ER's time when all I wanted to know is if my child had strep or if it was just a virus. No idea why Val felt the need to act the way she did, but please be warned that she is not a reliable nurse practitioner. On a side note, the nurse at the Little Clinic said this was their second patient they sent to the ER for meningitis testing. Sounds like Val might need a refresher course before school gets back in and the cold and flu season hits. Moral of the story, go somewhere else for your health needs!

God forbid you are three minutes late with a sick toddler who was stuck on the toilet. They have zero empathy and tell you to come back hours later.... horrible customer service.

DO NOT GO HERE!
I made an appointment for something I needed to be urgently seen for. Unfortunately, I had to make it late in the day because I had to wait for my husband to get home from work to watch our toddler before I could go. I made the appointment online, over an hour prior to the appointment time. Four minutes before my appointment, after I had already arrived at the location, I received an email saying my appointment had been cancelled. The emailed looked identical to the confirmation email, and even included a confirmation code. The only difference was that one line said "Your appointment has been cancelled." Followed by "Thank you for visiting The Little Clinic... etc." I didn't see the one line because I saw the confirmation code (just like the confirmation email). So, when I went to check-in, it kept saying "Your appointment has been cancelled." When I talked to the tech, she said that she didn't know what had happened, and that she couldn't add an appointment for me because they system wasn't showing anything available. She then offered me an appointment late the next morning. I ended up making it to an urgent care in Cumming, where I was able to get the treatment I needed (at triple the price).
The issue wasn't the people that work there (although, I have had instances at this particular Little Clinic where the provider showed up well after my scheduled appointment time, made me wait over an hour after my scheduled appointment, and trash-talked her baby daddy to me during my appointment -these were separate occasions-). My bigger issue is whatever program they use that allows you to schedule an appointment, then randomly cancels it after you're already there, and there's no option for the tech to override it so you can be seen. It wasn't an emergency per se, hence I was going to a Little Clinic instead of Urgent Care, however, I was in a lot of pain and was trying to get the medication I needed before all of the pharmacies were closed.
I do not recommend going here if you would like to actually be seen and/or expect your appointment to be kept. While you'll have to drive further, wait longer, and pay more, your safer bet is going to one of the Piedmont Urgent Care facilities that are located around Cumming.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service I received today at the clinic from the girl at the check in station who identified herself as a tech. Her name was Haley, and from the moment I walked in, she was determined not to help. She was rude and uncaring. I will never be back to this location. Truly disappointing.

Went to the clinic on 1/21 feeling completely aweful. The staff there seemed caring enough and things were going well. Saw the Dr got my prescriptions and went home feeling happy and liking the clinic. A few days later received a follow up call and message from staff so I called them back to update them on how I was feeling. That was the end of the caring from Dr and Staff at the clinic. 11 days after my visit and finishing my meds I called the clinic and left a message for the Dr and staff that I was not yet better and had finished my medications and to please let me know what I should do (come back in to be reseen or could the Dr just call in refills (this was Thursday). Saturday I still had not received a response so I called and left another message, again got NO response. So Sunday I called the clinic several times until someone actually answered the phone. The nurse/receptionist reassured me that she had spoken with Dr and they would call in medication by the days end at 5 pm. I had again offered to come back in. Called the clinic back at 4:45 pm before they closed to verify meds would be called in and again eas reassured that the Dr promised she would call meds in before she left for the day. My pharm closed at 6pm. Got up Monday morning and called my pharm and they had not received a call from the Dr. Called clinic back and explained to nurse/receptionist what had transpired to this point. She said she would speak with the Dr. (This was around 9:30am) Around 3 pm decided to go up to the clinic to see what I needed to do to refill meds. Nurse/receptionist went and let the Dr know I was there, they called Dr I had seen and she informed them that I would need to be reseen at this point to get refills. I OFFERED TO BE RESEEN ON THE PREVIOUS THURSDAY. Instead of telling me this the staff and Dr promised to have meds called in for me then just didn't and left it for a Dr that hadn't even seem me to deal with the problem. Now I am as bad again as when I went in. Have waisted money on Dr visit and meds like I never did anything. Very disappointed, left the clinic thinking they were of the caring sort just to be lied to and ignored. I will NEVER return to this clinic and will NEVER recommend The Little Clinic to anyone. Sad that they seem to feel the need to scam people out of money. Like I said I had no problem going back and paying to be seen had they only followed through on their end and not just ignore my messages. No wonder people have no faith in healthcare. There is no care anymore just money hungry and they could have had the $89 office visit had they taken the time to return my calls. And when I went in monday they had a sign up that they were only seeing certain patients. THANKS Dr. and staff. I appreciate you.
