Absolutely horrible experience. Brought my 13 year old daughter in for a strep test. While filling out the forms, I opted to also have her tested for flu/covid since she was running a low grade fever for 3 days with a sore throat and body aches. Not my first child, so I'm not one to freak out but I did want to have a strep test just in case. However, I also know my kid has had a much higher fever for days longer, present way sicker than she appeared, and it be just a virus. Nurse Practitioner Val came in and stated I should never have allowed my child to be so sick for 3 days and she probably had meningitis. She also said that she would have taken her own child to the ER days ago. For real, a descending 100.6 fever with sore throat (not even red or spotted), and body aches does not seem like a true emergency to me. That's exactly why I went to a Little Clinic instead of the ER. My child had strep 1 other time in her life so I don't know her strep symptoms and thought it couldn't hurt to get tested. I thought I was being proactive by getting her checked. Val was rude and unprofessional to me acting like I was a terrible mom. Since she frightened my daughter and me into thinking she had meningitis, we of course went to the ER. Four hours later in the waiting room, $250 ER deductible, then hours in an ER room, x-rays and a million tests later, it was confirmed, she just had a virus. ER doctor's couldn't believe a NP sent a child to them to be tested for meningitis, which is done by a spinal tap by the way. Shame on Val for over reacting, making me feel like a terrible parent, and freaking out my child. Not to mention wasting the ER's time when all I wanted to know is if my child had strep or if it was just a virus. No idea why Val felt the need to act the way she did, but please be warned that she is not a reliable nurse practitioner. On a side note, the nurse at the Little Clinic said this was their second patient they sent to the ER for meningitis testing. Sounds like Val might need a refresher course before school gets back in and the cold and flu season hits. Moral of the story, go somewhere else for your health needs!

I came here recently because I had symptoms of a cold that worsened. By the time I scheduled an appointment here to be seen by Valerie Maddox. I had a fever of 101.7 The issue I have with this clinic is the lack of experience from the staff and the overall quality of care that you receive here. I was billed 99.00 for my visit only to receive a 10 day supply of 875 mg amoxicillin. Valerie told me to call her at the clinic if this doesn't get better since I had this illness before. She mentioned another medication that could help, but it had a side effect and to let her know if my condition worsens or doesn't improve to call her and try that next. After taking medication for 10 days, I called to inform Valerie that I still didn't feel better and requested a refill of amoxicillin or the medication that she originally wanted to prescribe me. She was not available, and the person who I spoke to said that since Valerie was off that I would have to make another appointment and be billed again for another visit.i told her that I just paid 100 dollars already and thats when she mentioned going to the ER. I just told her at this point that she could not or would not help me in this situation. My initial visit was on December 5th. I called back on December 19th when all this happened. I never heard back from Valerie or anyone. I won't be coming here again.

The absolute rudest service ever. I would not take my worst enemy here.

I mean the staff was great, parking was good... but I cannot get them to ever answer the phone. I called 6 times and was not even able to leave a voice message... It is sad that we cannot ever seem to get a real human being to answer a simple phone. Why advertise a number if you are unwilling to man the phone? Honestly...

As a NP I appreciate having good, consistent, efficient care that is close. Have dropped in for strep test, respiratory infections, screenings for work and physicals for kiddos. So easy.
