A year ago I had a reoccurring sinus infection and a doctor here treated me so well during 2 visits and finally rid me of the infection after several months and other failed visits. A family member has me on their insurance and recommended I return this year when another pesky sinus infection came in. I put it off until I couldn't stand it anymore. I left work and rushed to this clinic. Nobody was at the desk and then I noticed the sign in thing. I attempted to make an appointment earlier and the website failed and errored. I couldn't get anyone on the phone. It said walk in were welcome. I was finally greeted by a woman with short, dark, kinky hair. She asked if she could help me. I asked to be seen and this set her off. She kinda shouted at me that they close soon and that she already had two patients and stormed off. I was so taken aback by the rudeness. She never offered to help me make another appointment even tho I hesitated to walk away. Just dismissed me without a care in the world and honestly I'm utterly shocked at the encounter. Even the other patients stared as I walked off, tears in my eyes. I grabbed some more over the counter meds and left Kroger. If anyone management wise wants to reach out to me, please let me know because I feel totally wronged by that entire scenario. Also, she had no mask on. With rising covid numbers and supposedly you're so busy with patients that are sick, maybe you should wear one. Especially since they do covid testing here. Also, a working portal and availability would be nice. Remove the walk in welcome advertisement as it's false. And make sure hours are clear on website because I wouldve respected time limits. Some of the patients you see will be low income, coming off of work, no pcp, basic insurance coverage. That's what kind of patients your walk in clinics will get while being attached to a grocery store and having 2 exam rooms. I don't expect special treatment or ask for the red Carpet to be rolled out to me, but maybe have some compassion if you're working in Healthcare and maybe think to yourself that someone who's sick enough to bring their behind in to see you is doing so as a last resort. I'm pretty sure all I wouldve needed was a quick evaluation and some antibiotics, whether that wouldve been tonight or at the next available appointment. Very disappointing and unsettling that she would talk to a younger adult this way. If I'd felt better, she would've regretted speaking to me so harshly. So, read the room, make an appointment, and if you don't feel comfortable you're probably being treated by the same chick I saw. The lady with the braids that works here and a tall male that works the front desk are SO INCREDIBLY NICE. The stars are for them.
