Beautiful gym that has taken off in the Dacula area. What they haven't done is to schedule more classes to accommodate membership numbers they have signed. Classes fill as soon as they are posted. They have classes during the day but not in the evening for those who work- there's a hip-hop dance class Monday mornings at 8:30, but none at night. You've clearly got the revenue coming in when classes are filling up as soon as they are posted- make more classes available so they are not full immediately. You have 3 hydro-massage machines that constantly have a long wait. You're signing more members than you can accommodate.

It’s been almost a year since I last visited Ingles, and I was completely unaware that it was closing and transforming into Onelife. The renovation of the old grocery store took a whole year to complete, and they’ve added some fantastic fitness equipment. So, when you visit or join, it feels a bit like stepping into a place like AT&T, Verizon, or even a used car dealership. You’ll need to wait for assistance, but it shouldn’t take too long. The young guy who helped me was incredibly helpful; he knew everything about the gym and didn’t try to sell me a membership. Onelife offers everything you could want: equipment, fitness rooms, Les Mills classes, yoga, a swimming pool, an infrared sauna, a cold plunge, and a complete recovery area. Just like life, there are different levels of access, and the highest level includes a clean towel for your workout. The only area I wasn’t too excited about was the combat strike zone. It’s designed to give you a full-body workout similar to Les Mills Body Combat, but they have punching and boxing bags, and yes, it’s an extra cost to participate. I’m wondering why this “zone” is extra when you’re already paying top dollar for the membership. I suspect it won’t last long, and they’ll probably remodel it for something else. With that, would I recommend this premium gym? In this economy and with their 12-month ACH automatic withdrawal, I’m not sure I would. Memberships start at $49.99 and can go up to $100 per month. If you’re looking for exclusivity and a gym with all the amenities, and cost isn’t a concern, Onelife might be the place for you. Just keep in mind that you’ll be locked in for a year at $600 or $1200, especially since Golds and Bodyplex are nearby and offer similar amenities at half the price.

This gym has a lot to offer however maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. From day, one me and most of the men I’ve spoken to have been asking to increase the sauna temperature from 160 to 180 and it still hasn’t been done on the other hand the women’s sauna is at 180 I know this because women have confirmed it. There’s a hole in the wall in one of the men’s shower that’s been there for weeks. You guys can do better this is on management.

Amazing Gym, but Hoping They Tighten Up on Cleanliness & Maintenance I’ve been going to the new One Life Fitness in Hamilton Mill since it opened, and honestly, the place is freaking awesome. The layout, the equipment, the atmosphere — it’s easily the top gym in the area apart from Gold’s across the street. One Life really does have everything it needs to be the powerhouse gym around. That said, there are a few things I’ve noticed that I hope the staff can get on top of before they become ongoing issues: The treadmills almost always look a bit dusty. The red light therapy has been down for most of the first month the gym has been open. The hot tub has also been down. The free-weight dumbbells rarely seem organized. When I asked about how often the leg compression sleeves are cleaned, the front desk guy said he thinks they clean them once a day — which didn’t give me much confidence. I actually went that day and got my wife and I lysol wipes. None of this is meant to bash the gym — I genuinely love coming here. It’s a badass facility, and I truly hope being one of the top gyms in the area doesn’t go to their head when it comes to cleaning, organization, and maintenance. Keeping those things top priority will make all the difference long-term. I want to see this place stay great, because it really can be the best around with just a little more attention to the details.
