Dr. Amin is a wonderful doctor! However, I feel that the receptionist at the first window is apathetic. I don’t know if it’s intentional, but it is off-putting.
I had to drive to the office with a hospital form because I was missing some information. The hospital form requested immunization records accompanied by a written letter verifying that the information was correct, but office did not include the written letter. I really struggled to get my message across to the receptionist even after she read what the record was requesting. I was told to go to the health department to obtain my immunization records, which is not what I needed. I stated this several times. I was also asked if the hospital could just accept the record “as is”.
I had to reach out via MyChart and continue to explain what I needed. As a patient, this makes me feel as though I am not being listened to. If I did not like my PCP, I’d leave Piedmont Northside and never come back.
Please listen to what patients are telling you, and please thoroughly read our health documents. Our medical care is important, and it is inconvenient to keep contacting and driving to the office to resolve these kinds of issues.

Does anyone know where Dr.Braswell is? Or if she’s still practicing? I received a vague email saying she was leaving so I called the office to inquire and they told me I should’ve received something in the mail and basically said Bye. Didn’t offer another Dr in the office or anything

I was once a satisfied patient at Northside Family Medicine. This was until the doctor that I was seeing left. I was assigned a new doctor which I was also satisfied with and had many visits with and was working well with her. Because of the seriousness of my medical conditions I am often in the ER and sometimes need to see the doctors without an appointment. They had always accommodated me in the past and there was never a problem. This particular time that I ask to see the doctor without an appointment she was not available so they worked me in with another doctor that work there. I was not comfortable with this doctor and did not like the way that she treated me. When I made my next appointment they tried to schedule me with her again, but I informed them that I wanted to return to the doctor that had been originally treating me. This seems to be where all the problems began. They actually scheduled me three different appointments and cancel them saying that the doctor was going on maternity leave. One of the times that they cancelled my appointment it was the day before. The office manager actually gave me an ultimatum that I would have to see the other doctors are look for another doctor somewhere else. So that's what I did. I live in Warm Springs Georgia so it's not a short drive to Columbus but up to that point it was worth it. The only reason why I decided to give my comments now is because I'm at a new doctor in LaGrange and they call over to have my records transferred to them and the office staff told them that would take between 30 and 40 business days before they could accommodate. I think this is more retaliation. A person's health is very important and should not be played with. Even the office staff at my current doctor's office could not believe that it would take so long to make a few keystrokes and email records.
This was my experience, Not all of the staff are bad. Most of them are very very nice and I miss them to this day. The first and second doctors that I dealt with were very competent and I would still be there today if I could have continued to see them. I actually miss a lot of them. They had started to become my family. And the doctor that I was originally working with was very competent. But I think as a patient we should be able to choose who treats us and not be forced to be treated by someone we do not feel comfortable with.
