I went to piedmont Cartersvile for help I did not get any help. They told me nothing is wrong with me just like Kennestone I have had multiple ct scans x-rays bloodwork it’s all good nothing abnormal. I’m 66 years old I didn’t want morphine and a bandaid I’m desperate to stop the pain but not with all the side effects of opioids. I am not seeking drugs!
I went there with level 6 pain left at 8 absolutely no help. I didn’t even see a doctor just a np

My son had a procedure at this facility. I was called prior to and given an estimate for $1,400. I’m now receiving a much higher bill after his surgery. I’ve tried to negotiate with the billing department here but they won’t allow me to talk to their supervisors. As such, I’ve had to file a complaint with the hospital and will follow up with the state and federal government if needed.

My experience with Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center was completely unacceptable. There were serious breakdowns in communication, lack of accountability, and delayed responses that made an already critical situation even worse.
Despite being the designated point of contact, I was not properly informed after a major procedure. Instead, important medical updates were given to someone who was not authorized. That alone raises serious concerns about how patient information is being handled.
In addition, concerns about the patient’s condition had to be raised multiple times before they were taken seriously. It should never require repeated escalation just to get proper attention and answers in a medical setting.
Because of the severity of these issues, I have filed formal complaints with both The Joint Commission and the Georgia Department of Public Health for further review.
It wasn’t until I escalated the situation internally that communication and responsiveness began to improve. That is not how healthcare should operate. Patients and families deserve consistent, transparent, and respectful care from the very beginning—not only after pressure is applied.
If you have a loved one here, I strongly recommend staying actively involved and advocating at every step. This facility needs to do better.

First, I want to say that I later found out that my hip replacement had separated completely from my pelvis. My experience at this hospital was terrible. The wait for a room took about 8 hours, which I'm not complaining. The flu was really bad so they were overrun with sick people. After I got into a room the PA came in and was so snippy and talked down to me. They gave me 20mg of morphine which helped 0. They took xrays and a CT. The PA came back in and said that images were fine and they don't treat chronic pain in the ER. I went bc I was hollering and crying from the pain. Could not bear weight on it or hardly move it. Got discharged with nothing to help and feeling like I was crazy bc I knew something was seriously wrong and they just didn't listen or care enough to actually treat me.
