My insurance was not double checked so nobody could answer my question as to what vision benefits I actually was supposed to get. I was given my contact credit and then told to call my insurance to check about glasses because they couldn’t or wouldn’t figure it out. This was not a last-minute appointment. It had been booked months in advance, and I feel like if there was an issue where they could not figure out, then they should’ve contacted me about it ahead of time so I could take care of it myself and not have to make a second trip into the store. The exam itself was basically silent, despite me making inquiries. I really just did not get a response from the provider about what she was doing or why, and any responses I did get were extremely terse. I’ve seen her before and it’s been fine. Maybe she was just having an off day, but it was not a friendly exam to say the least. I will not be coming back here based on this experience.

Rushed. OD associate has no personality nor personableness; she treats me like her life is miserable. Staff on the other hand is nice.

It was great, but not sure if the doctor was already tired but didn’t explain anything. She didn’t mention that I got a higher correction, or the results of the others exam.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients).
