I had a wonderful first experience at LensCrafters in the Mall of Georgia, from my eye exam with Dr. Reid to purchasing my new glasses in the store.
Dr. Reid and his staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming, which made my first-ever visit very comfortable. The exam was thorough and performed with modern equipment, and Dr. Reid took the time to clearly explain how my vision has changed and why I now need glasses for the first time. While the news wasn’t exactly what I hoped for, I felt confident knowing I received excellent care and can trust him with my eye health going forward.
The office is conveniently connected directly to the store and clearly handles a high volume of patients, yet I was still able to get a same-day appointment — which was very impressive.
After receiving my prescription, Leslie in the store took exceptional care of me. She was patient, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to explain my insurance benefits in a way that actually made sense. She helped me find a pair of glasses I absolutely love.
Overall, this was a smooth, professional, and genuinely pleasant experience from start to finish. I highly recommend LensCrafters at the Mall of Georgia, so don’t hesitate to visit!

I initially thought my online purchase was great—until I received the glasses. Once they arrived, I realized they did not match my prescription, so I returned to the store for help. Instead of resolving the issue, the experience went downhill.
At the store, the sales associate made it seem like the glasses I ordered online were “cheap” and implied that the lenses were inferior or “garbage” compared to what they sell in-store. I was told I should have ordered everything in person instead of online and that online and in-store purchases are “different.”
I then found out that to get what they said I needed, it would cost $200 more than what I already paid. They also refused to honor the 50% discount I received online. It was very uncomfortable to be made to feel like my $580 glasses were somehow low-quality and that I should have paid even more.
The entire interaction felt like an upsell rather than genuine customer service. I ultimately returned the glasses, received a refund, and decided not to do business with LensCrafters again.

Dr. Unsworth is an amazing optometrist, and Teresa is awesome as an optician. Excellent service and advice. I am extremely nearsighted, high astigmatism, AND require a prism in my glasses to correct for double vision. It makes my eyes very difficult to work with, and the people here are wonderful!

The customer service and professionalism at this Buford location is topnotch. From the customer experience with the eye tech to the appointment with Dr. Amy Vo. Dr. Vo is so thorough, she understood immediately my issues and explained all results. I definitely recommend and will return. Mizan, provided a great experience looking for glasses, very knowledgeable and personable. I appreciate this office for not rushing appointments and their attentiveness. Very happy I selected this location.

A employee at this store, Asian guy. I was shopping on Friday DECEMBER 19 around 8ish For meta glasses store was almost empty beside an older lady who was also shopping. When the employee walked away from the customer I over heard him speak to a different employee he was with saying "omg these people take forever to buy glasses, I have bought cars faster then they buy glasses" after hearing that I grabbed my shopping bags and just walked out super unprofessional. Ending up buying my meta glasses the next day at Best Buy.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
