This is by far the worst hospital I ever had to deal with. If I could rate a zero I would. What good is it to express concerns to the patient advocate/hospital administrator when they are just as rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful as it gets. On two occasions I reached out to Maria Moore who claims to be a patient advocate/upper level administrator and she is just as evil and rude as they come. I tried expressing concerns on my sister negligence care and was completely ignored. My complaint was due to the hospital discharging my sister to a nursing home knowing she was not medically stable to be discharged. I wasn’t informed of the discharge until they had already discharge her without my knowledge or planning this discharge with me. I told Maria Moore that I wanted to appeal discharge twice and was completely ignored they discharged her anyway. This resulted in my sister having to be immediately sent back to the hospital emergency within 24 hours. I was told by Maria Moore that she would be discharged later that evening back to the nursing home even though they clearly hadn’t got her medically stable during those hours timeframe. I requested to appeal this decision once again and was completely ignored. The nurse manager at the nursing home called me and left voicemail stating that Piedmont sent my sister to them in very poor conditions and they failed to inform them of several severe things she had going on that they discovered in my sister record. When I informed Maria Moore of this she acted like I wasn’t being honest so I told her I had a documented voicemail transcript in which she asked me to email to her in which I did. When I emailed her the voicemail transcript to confirm that I was telling the truth she got very quiet once she received it and claimed she was going to investigate and look into it and call me back. When she called me back she stated my sister still was going to get discharged back to nursing home that same day which prompted me to ask her about the stage 4 bedsore and the three infections that never informed me of she stated she didn’t look into that which showed me she didn’t investigate or care about addressing my concerns. My sister is a diabetic and I’m just finding out that she is suffering from a stage 4 bedsore in which the hospital failed to tell me about during her almost 2 months at the facility. She also is suffering from sepsis infection due to this severe bedsore resulting from the hospital negligence. I was told by the nurse manager at nursing home that after reading my sister record she seen that the hospital had my sister on antibiotics and they failed to complete her course of treatment prior to discharging her to them in which this was one of the reasons why she was not medically stable. When I was trying to express these concerns and my complaint to Maria Moore via phone she was very rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and cold hearted. She didn’t care and showed no concern or compassion at all instead while I was trying to address these serious concerns she had the nerve to be humming like a hummingbird loudly in my ear ignoring everything I was saying. Then she had the audacity to pretend like I was yelling at her all because she didn’t like what I was saying so she did this out of spite to clearly ignore my concerns. She doesn’t deserve to be in any position with a nasty demeanor like this. It’s truly sad that this hospital has went so far downhill and they allow their patients to be mistreated and neglected. These unlawful practices are unacceptable. You claim that you provide compassion and the best of care when clearly this is not the truth. After looking at all these bad reviews it’s pass time for a change. I do request to file a complaint with the hospital Director. I tried resolving at the lowest level and it was a complete waste of time. How can you work in a healthcare industry, but you don’t care about the patients you serve?

3 hrs and counting at the Pre-Op testing on second floor in Augusta Georgia...smh! You think they would hire more people to match patient needs. The registration was fast but waiting on a nurse for pre-Op is the horror. We pay enough for medical care for promt assistance but not happening here in Pre-Op

One star is generous. Changing their name from University to Piedmont did not improve customer service. Still the lowest rated hospital in the area and for good reason!

This is one of the worst hospital's I have ever had to deal with. The nursing staff and the doctors here do not listen to what you are telling them. I have explained what meds my client takes (as well as the client did and their medical record confirmed) and why and then they don't even give them to my client. Next thing they are wondering why my clients sugar is almost 400 or why their blood pressure was almost 200. Well if the hospital would listen then the clients sugar and blood pressure wouldn't be elevated. Also the hospital didn't feed the client or give them something to drink for over 24 hours (and they were not having surgery at the time- so it wasn't for pre op). Then no supplies in the room for the potty chair, or anything else. So in essence this hospital starves you, medicates you according to what they think you should be doing, and doesn't care if you sit in your feces until someone gets around to you. I sat with my client for over 24 hours and watched first hand, during this time I would go get the nurse to remind them and even at times got the supplies needed myself from some random staff walking by, I even went as far as to empty their portable Urnial for them because the regular staff never came to do it. I do not understand any Hospital doing this to their patients. I recommend trying a different hospital because this one doesn't gaf about its patients.
