  I needed some help after recent surgery, and the 3 caregivers I had from Home Instead were everything I could have asked for. They were caring, competent, willing to do whatever I asked, and very pleasant company. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs care in their home.

  I can't say enough good things about Home Instead. Their caregivers are compassionate, dependable, and truly treat my mom like family. They go above and beyond everyday-from keeping the house tidy, to making sure medications and meals are handled with care. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my mom is in such good hands. I would highly recommend them!

  My mom and I are extremely happy we have a caregiver for her. Home Instead was referred by a church member who is using them for her MIL I have to admit I never heard of Home Instead. Now I have told several people about them. The office staff have been great. Mom’s caregiver has been a perfect match. It has been what my mom needed to stay in her own home. The companionship it has brought has improved mom moods in just a short time.

  May 2021 Update - As I reflect on my parents' ability to live at home until their deaths, I am filled with gratitude to Mark Barlow and his Home Instead staff for all that they did to make that possible. After my father's death, we increased my mother's care to 24/7. She really enjoyed the teams of skilled and compassionate caregivers who truly loved her. Even during the pandemic, Home Instead kept her safe at home and coordinated well with Hospice who provided any medical help that she needed. Mark Barlow sets the tone for Home Instead in Augusta. His values, commitment to quality, and integrity are consistent through his office staff and caregiving teams. Sept 2018 - My whole family is grateful for the wonderful care that Home Instead of Augusta has provided since my Mom returned home from a rehab facility. When my father passed away about a year later, they began to provide 24/7 care for my Mom. The office has worked well with us in developing a team of caregivers that are best suited to my mother's needs and personality, and they keep in close contact with me about every aspect of her care. We feel very respected and valued as clients, and enjoy an atmosphere of family with the whole staff. I feel that they have made every effort to provide excellent care, and I trust the wisdom of decisions made along the way. My Dad and I were extremely impressed with owner Mark Barlow when we first interviewed him back in May of 2017. Relative to several other organizations that we considered, Home Instead really stood out as the superior option, and they have not disappointed us. Mark has been personally involved throughout my mother's care and has an excellent staff. They really go that extra mile. Even though we all live out of town, my family trusts that my Mom is in good hands around the clock every day. This has given us much peace and comfort, especially since my Dad is no longer there to oversee everything.
