This review is specifically about my experience with Brittney, who served as my X-ray ultrasound tech. Brittney provided exceptional and intentional care, compassion, and service during an appointment. She was reassuring, patient and superhelpful so much that I wanted to leave a review about my encounter with her. I told her RBA is fortunate to have someone who demonstrates such care, empathy, and attentiveness. Thank you Brittney (I don't know her last name).
RBA made our IVF experience so enjoyable . It was kind of bittersweet when we graduated , just because we had been with them so long . From start to finish they made our experience amazing . From the very beginning with consults they were very easy to talk to and explained everything so well . Dr Slayden was amazing and made me feel so comfortable as he is so knowledgeable and good at what he does . My egg retrieval was in 2024 by Dr Straub who did a great job . We then froze our embryos and started surrogacy in 2025. I can’t tell you how absolutely wonderful the nurses Marti and Katie were , they truly cared every step of the way and went above and beyond . The communication was very good and prompt . Dr Slayden did our transfer and our baby boy is on the way ! I was quite the basket case through this process lol …as many know IVF is so nerve racking and you want it so bad . But they were so great at answering my many ,many questions I had and calming my worries . My surrogate was impressed with their communication as well .This is an excellent team of doctors and staff ! From doctors , nurses , billing , front desk , I never came across anyone who wasn’t pleasant and easy to work with . I will forever be grateful for what they did for us and would recommend them to anyone !
Reading the reviews about communication issues surprises me. I felt very supported by my nurse (chloe) who was always available to answer my questions. And I asked a lot of questions.
If you are uncomfortable with needles - this is not a process for you. The timeline is clear up front - and by clear, I mean my expectations were set that you do not know what day the actual procedure will be until 36 hours before when you do the trigger shot. So it is important to have a flexible schedule.
The day of the actual procedure was much easier than I expected, but maybe because they accurately set my expectations. I was told how many follicles I had, and they explained to me that they will try to get an egg from every one of those follicles. But just because they retrieve an egg, that does not mean that egg is mature enough to freeze.
I appreciate all the techs, front desk, and nurses throughout this process. Thank you!

My husband and I left this appointment feeling very confident. We got really positive news and the provider we saw was excellent at giving us information we needed and helping us move forward in the right direction to get answers. Dr. Jamie was so nice and very up front with us she didn’t sugar coat anything which is what we needed. I highly recommend seeing this provider for sure she takes time with you and really hears you out.
Our journey with RBA began with a very taxing and emotional first egg retrieval, where communication was unfortunately a struggle. However, I believe in recognizing growth, and the improvement since then has been remarkable. Every subsequent experience has been wonderful.
Dr. Shapiro has been incredibly kind and empathetic to our situation through all three of our retrievals. While our first two were not successful, we are currently waiting on the results of our third with high hopes. A special thank you to Chloe—she is an absolute gem who handles my 'brand of crazy' and awkwardness with such grace and professionalism!
The entire staff has been phenomenal. I especially want to mention the phlebotomist who uses the chair by the window; she is so mindful and attentive to the small details, like which side to use for blood draws. ( Because I bruise like a bad apple!!) Even the after-hours team has been prompt and well-informed.
And because I work in healthcare and know that the receptionist are often the last to be recognized - I see you ladies! They are there bright and early, have seen me looking like a hot mess after my hour and a half drive in at 7 a.m., and they are always sweet, smiling, and ready to greet everyone .
For those just starting: please know this is a deeply emotional process with no guarantees. You need a support system. RBA has been a great partner for us, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a miracle! ☺️
