I attended an Office Visit with Dr. Matthew Adam Sand. The appointment took place at 275 Collier Rd NW Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30309. I asked if there were any other appointments or follow-ups I needed to schedule, be aware of, or attend. Dr. Sand confirmed there were not. I paid a total of $111.00 for this Office Visit.
Several weeks later, I was informed that I missed a “Hospital Outpatient Visit” scheduled by Dr. Sand. Dr. Sand scheduled this appointment for the day after my previous Office Visit with him. The appointment was indeed scheduled by Dr. Sand. I was classified as a “NO SHOW” and was charged for services never provided. I confirmed this information with an employee named Teshia. I was not notified whatsoever about anything in regard to this appointment, or the expectation of me to be there. I was instructed to come into the office to have my questions and concerns regarding this appointment answered. Upon arriving at 275 Collier Rd NW Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30309, I spoke with Teshia. She promptly requested an additional payment and confirmed I would be unable to ask any further questions if I did not schedule and pay for a “Follow Up” Appointment. I explained that I was instructed to come into the office to inquire about services never provided and an appointment that was made without my consent or knowledge. I also told her that there was no option to use the online “My Chart” Healthcare Portal to ask these questions as I normally would. She went to discuss the matter with Dr. Sand. He adamantly refused to address any of the questions or concerns I had regarding services never provided and an appointment that was made without my consent or knowledge, unless I made additional payment. I asked to speak with the Practice Manager and Teshia refused. I would strongly advise prospective customers to seek another provider, as the employees at Piedmont Physicians Urology – Atlanta are unethical and should be avoided.
