Worst experience ever!!
Sept 16,2025.. Came into store to reUp on my regular items.. The one rep w/the dreads that was assisting me, was acting goofy & nonchalant saying the one item I was looking for, they don’t carry & was i sure it was a GNC item..
He said it must be out of stock or discontinued w/out even checking. I showed a pic of the product to Mya at the register, she was familiar with the product & she attempted to call one store, while the other guy was trying to send me to two other stores 30+ miles away without even verifying if they had the product or not in stock.. Pure laziness..
Mya went online, found the product, pulled up my rewards account and cashed me out for the Whey protein.. Handed me my receipt & said… “yea just go online & order the capsules, it’s free shipping.. I said cool, took my receipt & left…
Got home, item was online but shipping was NOT free.. There was a $59 min purchase required.. I could have just waited & bought both items online & had it shipped vs paying for one item in store.. I was NOT about to pay $19 for shipping.. I called the store the next day & the rep LePaul was like “oh the guy w/the dreads should have known better & they could have ordered the item while you were in the store & had it shipped for free.. Said he’s been there longer than everyone.
I told him which product it was, and he asked if I could come back to the store before 3pm and he would order the product w/a discount for the inconvenience of me driving back & have it shipped to me... I was at work & by 2:30 I knew i wasn’t going to make it on time, so I gave him a COURTESY call to say i would not be there by 3…. he asked if i could get there before 5 & to remind him again what this was about. I explained again, told him what product it was and i’ll be there by 3:30.. He said fine.. I drove 21 miles in heavy traffic, walked in the store, Mya recognized me from the day before & said OH you’re back.. I made the comment, yea you told me it was free shipping & it wasn’t.... She asked for my phone number, they input the item number in the system to order & Lepaul, who asked me to
Come to the store, looked at me saying “oh yeah we don’t have that item in inventory & can’t order it after all..Said that he never pulled the item up, and blamed it on the store being busy.. That I need to order from GNC online.. He literally shrugged his shoulders & looked at me dumbfounded, making excuses vs offering a resolution, like i didn’t just leave work and waste a trip back to that store FOR NOTHING.. I was in total disbelief,.. there was an exchange, & the girl Mya lied to my face saying she never pulled up my account, and that when she told me it was free shipping, it was my responsibility to know there was a $59 minimum..She also had the audacity to raise up at me when i called her a liar bc she rung me up, applied my reward & cashed me out, and how do you defer me to make a purchase online, say it’s free shipping but don’t mention a minimum..
All of that could have been avoided had she said that at the time of purchase.. I would have just went online to begin with… She went to the back, called the manager Stephanie on her phone, came back out & I was offered 15%.. a whole $4 off IF i CAME BACK on Friday.. So she wanted me to waste more time, money, & gas for $4 off.. I see why her sales rep are goofy, childish, and lack accountability.. Mind you, I’ve been a customer at this store for 4yrs now.. I returned the item that I bought the day before, bc I will never spend money with a business that doesn’t take accountability for their mistakes OR respect me as a customer!!!
