  I was fortunate to be scheduled with Dr Pohlel as an urgent referral. It was a week later when I was called with an appointment. I did not realize the procedure for "urgent". The scheduler will evaluate the potential patients records and then make an appointment best matching the needs of the patient with the providers specialities. To have been matched with Dr Pohlel was a blessing. He listened to me and validated my concerns which was so worthwhile to me. Everyone was efficient, kind and to a person, very apologetic for the lack of parking. The only parking available at my arrival time (for a 9:10 appointment) 8:45 on that Thursday was the Piedmont Hospital Emergency Room below deck parking.(about 1/2 mile from office) Apparently "parking is an issue". Being my first visit, I wasn't aware. Suggestion: When the appointment and directions are given consider "Parking can be an issue, having a driver maybe helpful" may prevent cardiac patients arriving with active cardiac symptoms. Piedmont Heart of Athens are not responsible for the lack of parking. They are a large group utilizing that location with several other medical services and unfortunately the parking isn't sufficient for the needs of the patients.

  Met NP Musser, she was kind, concerned and knowledgeable. Listened to all my concerns and explained all options for care. Took away any anxiety and fears I had. She was great!

  The nurse practitioner that I met with was excellent, but the lady who checked me out at the end of my visit was just rude. When I called to make an appointment, they’re rude and she was the icing on the cake in rudeness
