I was diagnosed with a condition here this time, but instead of getting better I ended up at a different hospital emergency room two days later with one of the complaints I originally went for that wasn't addressed at PARED. I had all of the symptoms, I just wasn't diagnosed with the second condition until after the 2nd ED visit at a local hospital that isn't an hour's drive. I have always had better experiences than this here before and was quite disappointed, although I still prefer Piedmont Athens Regional to other hospitals in my area

I’ve always had good experiences with Piedmont but not this time. Im 70 years old and I had a fall on concrete and hit my head and lower back. Lost my balance and went straight back. I don’t feel that the doctor checked me out well mainly because I was in the hallway for my check up. Said that my ct came back good of my head and X-rays of my lower back the same. He touched one spot on my head but the swelling covered much more. He couldn’t really look at my back. He did not even address the fact that I was extremely dizzy when I tried to sit up or stand. I’m feeling worse each day. My jaw was also hurting and now feel that my throat is swollen inside.

I hate Piedmont Y'all didn't do nothing but hurt me and y'all didn't even come check and see what was going on you let your security guards beat me up you let your nurses and your nurse practitioners lie on people if what y'all did to me is unforgivable just to let y'all know that so to me I will tell everyone do not go to Athens regional for nothing I don't care if your life is on the line take your chances and go somewhere else and I want everybody to see this and know it's me Leonard Crawford Jr just want to let you all know that they would not let me post this unless I give them a star but they don't deserve it but I'm going to put it up there just so I can post this

I was not treated at this ER, even though they referred me to go there. I went to St. Mary's instead. Im not sure why the ER is sending me a text asking for a review. Ill let you know what led to this though. I first went to Piedmont Urgent Care. We specially asked if they could treat Tetanus BEFORE we signed in, then they took almost 1.5 HOURS before they walked into the room. Only to tell me to go to the ER and they couldn't treat me. The doctor said the front desk staff would be FIRED if they turn away a patient. No regard for the patients actual health, much less cost. I didnt know this but Tetanus can progress fast. I was put into the ICU as quickly as I sat into the chair in the ER of ST Mary's. Im so thankful to be alive. You know who should have known this- the Doctor at Urgent Care. Piedmont has some very glaring alterior motives for patient care.

The doctor was wonderful and Mrs Alison was wonderful, but the first nurse that came in to take my blood she didn’t do it right and she kept moving the needle in my arm. I asked her if she had the butterfly needle because those work the best for me, she said I understand well I started feeling queasy and felt like I was gonna pass out but the thing is I started feeling pain in my arm while she was trying to take my blood and she looked at my husband and said she’s freaking out too much and she needs to calm down. The first nurse said she needed to reinsert the needle and I said no ma’am. Thankfully the other nurse that came in I asked her did she have a butterfly needle and she said yes I do, I said okay ma’am can we use that one because then you won’t have to reinsert it it’ll just come out. The first nurse doesn’t need to take people’s blood if she doesn’t know what she’s doing or she doesn’t care about her patients. At this point i don’t care if I made her mad, she shouldn’t have done my arm like that. Thanks..
