My in-laws are elderly and, like many seniors, struggle to navigate today’s fast-paced, technology-heavy world. Unfortunately, I don’t live nearby, so when my father-in-law needed to be seen quickly, I was trying to help coordinate care from a distance while also worrying about them becoming confused or overwhelmed by the process of getting hearing aids. When I called the Athens Miracle-Ear office, I spoke with a team member named Jamie, and from the very first conversation, she put me at ease. She walked me through the entire process, helped schedule his appointment promptly, and took the time to explain the financial side of things so I could help my in-laws understand their insurance coverage before they even arrived. Even with that reassurance, I was still anxious about whether they’d receive the patience and care they needed in person. I’m so grateful to say they were treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and kindness during a really difficult time. Jamie was just as patient and compassionate with them as she had been with me on the phone. It is such a breath of fresh air to find a company that truly values its clients and their families — a place that is willing to slow down, explain things clearly, answer questions, and make sure people fully understand both their care plan and financial responsibilities, instead of rushing them through paperwork and pushing them out the door. Thank you for treating my in-laws like human beings. That level of care is rare these days, and it meant more than you know.
