My daughter is an established patient at Allergy Partners of Georgia, and we absolutely LOVE Dr. Smith. However, recently we recently had two very frustrating experiences with this office, specifically, Amanda Cunningham, FNP, while trying to advocate for my daughter, who has documented environmental and food allergies with unpredictable reactions. We scheduled an appointment specifically to discuss completing FMLA paperwork due to the number of school absences and emergency reactions she has experienced. I was advised that I should simply inform the nurse and principal that my daughter should remain at school. While I understand the importance of school attendance, this suggestion did not take into account the symptoms my daughter continues to experience or the challenges she faces when those symptoms occur during the school day. While I respect medical expertise, this statement does not fully reflect the symptoms she continues to experience and the way those symptoms are affecting her ability to learn and function during the school. As a parent, I cannot disregard school policies when my child is actively experiencing allergic symptoms that impact her wellbeing. Unfortunately, the provider did not seem to truly listen to the concerns we presented. In fact, the provider seemed VERY overwhelmed and perhaps apprehension with my daughter’s medical history. When I attempted to explain how my daughter’s condition affects her daily life and my ability to maintain work attendance, the conversation was repeatedly redirected to general medical explanations rather than addressing the specific situation. Communication also felt rushed, and it was difficult to ask questions or clarify concerns because the provider spoke very quickly and did not seem open to discussion. Additionally, despite recent bloodwork confirming the allergens my daughter reacts to, I was advised that I should keep a detailed four-month journal of symptoms before further consideration could be given to the situation. While I understand the importance of tracking symptoms, this recommendation felt dismissive of both the documented allergy testing and the current challenges my daughter is experiencing. When parents come to a specialist for help managing serious allergies, we hope to feel heard and supported. Instead, the experience felt dismissive and unhelpful. I hope the practice works on improving patient communication and listening to families’ real concerns.

Dr. Smith and the staff made this visit as enjoyable as a specialist office can be. Everyone was so friendly to myself, and inviting to my 5 year old son who the appointment was for. Things were explained in detail on a level I could easily follow, and we left with answers and a detailed plan of action for now, and what to expect if this remedy wasn’t the cure to come back and revisit. 10/10 would recommend!

Everyone I encountered at the office was wonderful. Tamara listened, explained, and gave wonderful advice. I would recommend anyone needing these services to go here.

Dr. Smith is as fine of a care provider I've ever had, and the entire staff at APG is helpful and kind. Getting set up with them for allergy shots is one of the best decisions I've made. Don't hesitate, it will change your life.

I've contacted this office 7 times in the past week, to get my son in for an appointment. I have several medical records from hospital visits even a referral to get my son in for allergy testing for a severe allergy. Someone was suppose to call me back to schedule an appointment I haven't received a call back, Ive left voicemails, I've used the online "schedule an appointment tab" I have even clicked on every number on the menu option tab and nobody has answered nor called back.. I think you all must want to see me in person. update: Someone contacted me and was able to get me in rather quickly. We were able to figure out the root cause to my son allergies and the ladies i encounter at the office was very nice. The doctor was very very kind as well.. I updated my review. thank you all so much!
