Ava really helped me to pick out glasses quickly and efficiently while maintaining a professional and warm demeanor. She wasn't afraid to tell me when the glasses didn't look good so that I didn't walk out with a pair of glasses that everyone else would think to be ugly. But she did so politely and with good intent, not just caring about making a sale, but caring about the people and glasses.

I brought my elderly mother to this location to get prescription glasses. They filled the lenses wrong. When my mother came back alone and told them she could not see, they insisted the glasses were correct. Then they offered to give her another eye exam. For an additional charge. To fix their own mistake. Let me say that again. They made the wrong lenses. Told a 76+ year-old woman she was wrong. Then tried to charge her again. I came to the store to resolve this. I had the original prescription. The lenses did not match. This was not a matter of opinion. It was a verifiable error. Instead of apologizing and issuing a refund, the staff argued, deflected, and eventually called mall security on me. Security came. Security did nothing. Because I was right. They finally issued a full refund. But only after I refused to leave and only after several other customers in the store witnessed the entire thing and walked out. My mother is visiting from overseas. She needed these glasses. She is leaving in days and now has no glasses because this store wasted weeks of her time with a product they made incorrectly and then defended as correct. If you are elderly, if you do not speak perfect English, if you are someone who might not push back, be very careful here. The staff at this location will tell you the problem is your eyes, not their work. And they will try to charge you to fix what they broke. I got my money back. Most people will not

Terrible communication cost me my insurance benefits and out-of-pocket money. I ordered glasses for my child last year but called to cancel later that week. The staff explicitly told me I had to wait until the glasses arrived at the store and that they would call me to process the cancellation. I followed up weeks later and was told the exact same thing. I never received a call. When I recently followed up, they told me they discard orders after 6 months and that there’s "nothing they can do." To make it worse, the rep admitted they actually "never really call anyone" and only text—which completely contradicts what I was told twice. (I use a Google Voice number and received zero texts anyway). Because of their staff's misinformation and zero follow-through, I am out an $80 payment and entirely lost my annual vision insurance benefits ($250 frame allowance + lenses) for glasses we never received. Trying to get help from their 1-877 corporate number was a complete waste of time. Save your money and insurance benefits, and go somewhere that actually communicates with their patients.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
