I wish I could give this studio 0 stars. ONLY register for classes at this studio if you are 1) recovering from an injury or surgery and want to slowly ease back into movement 2) elderly, or 3) overweight. If one of those 3 does not apply to you, this is not the studio for you. Club Pilates is a chain that is all over the East Coast, They divide their classes into levels, 1. 1.5, 2, and 2.5. You’re not “allowed” to take classes more difficult than 1.5 unless you have been going to classes at one of these specific studios for THREE MONTHS, and at that, you still need “instructor approval”. I have attended Pilates classes every week for over a year and they would not “allow” me to take a more difficult class. Club Pilates hits you with registration fees, membership fees, and if you want to leave, cancellation fees. The class prices are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced, and what’s even worse, is that the classes are not worth your money (unless, again, maybe, you fit into one of the three mentioned categories). If you live in the area nearby there’s a Pilates studio up the road called IMX Pilates, You can call and speak to the owner, it’s not a chain, they meet you where your fitness goals are, it’s cheaper and so much better. Do yourself a favor and save your money from this studio.

First, the whole point of the beginning of my review is that this club pilates is NOT for everyone, it is NOT for all ages and all body types. It is ONLY for those recovering from injury or surgery, the elderly, or the overweight. If you are of moderate physical fitness, this studio is a waste of your time and money. These classes are expensive and your time is valuable, Why spend $26-$35 per class and an hour to not get a good workout or a stretch, really not get better or improve your body at all? The fact that they create an arbitrary rule to withhold you from progressing in your fitness journey is wrong and does not align with the values of true pilates. True pilates is about listening to your body, not somebody else dictating what classes you’re “allowed” to take. It’s that they expect you to take classes for 3 months which is upwards of $327 plus their other fees before you can advance? It’s only a money grab and it’s not about you or your health or your safety.
They are correct that they partly refunded me, I was refunded for the classes I did not take, but I was not refunded for the class that I did take at this studio which was an utter waste of time. Also, I specifically paid more in the initial class pack in order not to pay the registration or cancellation fee, but that doesn't mean they won’t expect you to pay a registration and cancellation fee.
IMX Pilates is so much better of a studio, centered around instructors who let you determine where your fitness level is at, not some arbitrary rule, and you can call and speak to the owner, non the assistant managers, not the general manager, no, the owner. Club Pilates is borderline a scam, you are so much better going local and small business for your pilates needs, you get a nicer studio, nicer instructors, cheaper fees, and more growth in your fitness.
