Now that we’ve had two visits to this office, I feel comfortable leaving an honest review.
Our first visit was prompted by a randomly discovered elevated PSA, so I rushed to find a urologist for my partner. Because our insurance didn’t take effect until the 1st, I paid $300 out of pocket for the initial visit. Despite having a scheduled appointment, we waited over an hour to be seen—which seems to be the norm here.
We spent maybe 10–15 minutes with the doctor. Aside from recommending an MRI and providing a referral to Akumin, no additional workup, explanation, or discussion took place.
When the MRI results came in, I called the office hoping to speak with the doctor to ask some questions. I was told by the administrative staff that because they see 60+ patients per day, the doctor does not have the time or ability to call patients. The only accommodation offered was an earlier appointment.
At the follow-up visit to review the MRI, we again waited over an hour. Once seen, the MRI findings and our concerns were not meaningfully discussed. Instead, we were quickly pushed toward scheduling a biopsy with little explanation or personalized discussion.
This office feels like the McDonald’s of urology—focused on volume rather than individualized patient care. After spending roughly $400 across two visits, I don’t feel we received thoughtful guidance, reassurance, or clear communication—just the sense of being another number.
If your loved one is facing a potential cancer diagnosis or any serious urologic concern and you’re looking for thorough explanations, compassion, and personalized care, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere .
