Pilates is the best thing I have ever done for my body! Specifically, Club Pilaties and their instructors are amazing. I am currently working toward my 1,000 class! Like another reviewer, I read the recent negative review and I also laughed at the person who wrote it. Pilates is not intended for the person looking to sweat in class or expecting to be in pain the next day. That, in of itself, is the reason many participants have selected Club Pilates as their workout of choice. Pilates will bring your body to new levels you did not even know were possible as you are encouraged and challenged by knowledge instructors who readily adapt workouts to meet needs of participants as they customize for individuals, monitor safety of form, and provide safe modifications as needed. All the while the instructor keeps the classes fun and motivational. Multiple options of classes build progressively in intensity and physical demand from level 1 to level 1.5 to level 2 and beyond. The wise participant does not rush that progression but enjoys the mastery of each step as their body becomes more fit and their form, strength, and endurance continues to improve. That negative review was by a new member trying to take level 2 classes after 3 classes. Sadly that person doesn’t understand the concept of Pilates or its principles.

I absolutely love Pilates and this studio in particular. I’ve been taking classes here for some time now. The instructors here are knowledgeable and friendly. I read the previous review and I laughed at the person who wrote it. If you’re trying to sweat in class then you should go to an aerobics class! If you want to be in pain the next day why don’t you go to cross fit! If you’re trying to take level 2 classes after 3 classes in this studio then you don’t understand Pilates and that it’s about form. This studio is better off without your negativity. What I’ve learnt is that Pilates is a practice and you get better and stronger over time. I’ve progressed to the 1.5 classes after taking a lot of level 1 classes to prepare me for the higher level classes. I’m not ready for level 2 yet but I’ll get there. Some people just want instant results and that’s not going to happen with Pilates! Good luck to you Olivia!!!!🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

This is my own personal experience and I cannot speak for what yours will be. I am in my 30’s and consider myself in good shape. I did not feel like I was getting much of a work out after trying two classes. I did not sweat. I was not sore the next day. I requested getting evaluated for the more challenging 2.0 classes. My third class was a 1.5 class. 10 minutes in, I was feeling optimistic that I was going to get a good workout and be challenged. However as the class went on, the instructor became more and more unpleasant. He was condescending, provided very vague instructions that had most of the class struggling, and was just flat out rude! When he saw people having an issue his response was “you’re in a 1.5 class, you’ve done this before”. I ended up leaving the class early because instead of giving proper instruction on foot placement for a side plank, he resorted to publicly humiliating me. Not what I was expecting for paying such a premium price. I have been taking different fitness classes all over the country for the past 15 years and have NEVER been treated like that by an instructor. I requested my membership be cancelled. I’m told that I signed a 3 month contract and would have to provide 30 days notice, plus pay $100 early cancellation fee. I definitely recommend doing as much research as possible on all the classes and contract stipulations. I do not wish what happened to me to anyone! I was very embarrassed. The icing on the cake is the instructor certainly did not appear to be advanced in his own practice! Good luck!

The instructors are so nice and informative! Currently pregnant and they have been so helpful and encouraging with their modifications for me. Highly recommend!

Wow! What a great place to workout — I love the staff, the instructors, & the members! The studio is very clean & all are so welcoming. I have some previous mat Pilates experience but now I can’t get enough of working out on the reformers — so much so, that I have joined their Teacher Training program! Thank you Club Pilates Southern Trace, I am looking forward to this next adventure 💙🤍
