MAJOR DENTAL ANXIETY: I have so many good things to say I don’t even know where to start.
1st: the dentist is my #1 fear in the whole world. I just moved to Tampa and had to find a brand new dentist. I was TERRIFIED. I had never been to any other dentist other than my pediatric dentist since I was a baby. I found this place online and it looked great, so I decided to go with my gut.
I went for my cleaning (I was already scared). The hygienist, chaun/ sean? (Not sure how to spell it. Sorry 😔), was so kind, caring, immediately addressed my fears, got to know who I was, and made me feel so safe. I came home RAVING about my experience.
2nd: the equipment. I have never seen things so high tech. They had scanners where I could actually see my teeth and I learned SO MUCH. they showed and explained everything to me. I was SHOCKED. I had never seen anything like that, and also had realized I’ve never actually seen my teeth before. I also have to shout out the ultrasonic cleaning tool. That thing is a game changer. SO easy and quick, so much less scraping.
3rd: the daunting part. I had a cavity. This is nightmare fuel for me. They prescribe pills to make the anxiety go away, but for some reason they didn’t work on me and I was terrified going in today. The needle is my biggest fear, and I cried 3 times when I sat in the chair. When I say, this was BY FAR, THE EASIEST, SMOOTH SAILING NUMBING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD, I mean it whole heartedly.
Dr. Grey deserves his own paragraph. He walked in to a crying, scared girl sitting in his chair. When I thought no one could help me get out of my “funk”, I was wrong. He sat down, asked me everything I was nervous about. Told me he does this everyday and this was going to be an absolute walk in the park. He also told me that he is the best “numb’er” around. Well let me tell you, he was not wrong. It was so so so so so easy. Walked me through the entire thing. Asked me EXACTLY what he could do to help me through the process. When I say this is TEXBOOK INCREDIBLE patient care, I mean this was absolutely above and beyond. He did everything I asked, made me feel so safe, and it didn’t hurt AT ALL. I am overflowing with appreciation for his patience and compassion. Thank you SO much. It really means the world to someone who has had such a long history of major dental anxiety. ❤️
The hygienist in the room was just as equally amazing, she held my hand and was so so so kind. I will forever appreciate her for that.
Rosie at the front desk was also AMAZING and deserves a shout out. She was able to arrange all of the needles being hidden for me and was great at communicating with me all day about getting rides and when I needed to take my relaxation pills. Thank you for your support!!!!
Overall, I walked into a brand new office, terrified of what was going to come from it. I genuinely couldn’t have made a better choice. I am truly grateful to each and every one of you. ❤️ thank you Tampa Smile Co.
Sorry for my book of a review, but I hope this can help at least one person feel confident in their decision to choose this as their dental practice.
