- RAredheart A4 days ago3.0I really like how good they are and how they took there time to help me get a handicap scooter and even change Dr. Right now I am waiting for new batteries and charger. Which I call today to see what going and was told I might be able to get loner batteries in tell everything get done for my new ones. I will give a 5 Star when I can use my scooter again. It's the only way I can really do some stuff. And I even called in the past about a new changer and Hurd nothing on it . Expect that I was not charge it the right way.

- JDJames DeanApr 4, 20265.0I got my wheelchair through national seating & mobility with a gentleman name Nicholas garber he was an awesome gentleman that helped me all the way through the process got it in time before my daughter graduates college next month on the 22nd and I just wanted to say thank you Nicholas garber in our scale of 1 to 10 I'll give you a 20 because you put up with me through the whole process even though we had to go back and forth to the doctors but we did it and I really appreciate him and everything he has done for me he did an actual job and he was very cool and very sincere with everything he did with me and I'm in love with my chair and the color is awesome and everything that the chair does it gives me my freedom back thank you Nicholas

Today I had the pleasure of meeting another one of their Technicians JB, he was very comprehensive and completely addressed all my issues, he deserves even more praise than I’m able to express right now and I would most definitely recommend NSM to others.

Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
