If you are a healthcare provider DO NOT go here or they will report you to the state. It is not safe for healthcare personnel or providers.

First, we start with gratitude. This facility served its purpose in my Spirit-Filled life.
If you are a "first timer" looking at reviews or if you're a frequent flyer for treatment this review will help both.
The medical staff is the saving grace of this facility. Administration is clueless and medical runs it the best they can. I've never seen a more efficient and liberal medical team.
The facility itself feels sterile. It lacks any sort of community feeling and is desperately trying to find its footing. R.R. focuses on a detox wing and then a residential wing - where they allow a very liberal visitor policy for family and loved ones.
No other facility offers this type of free range visitors on the weekends.
That is the selling point...yet I found it coddling. They focus so much on selling the program to family members it lacks any sort of real therapy in residential.
If you need a facility where your family can come and see you every week pick this. Yet, grow some strength, you can survive 28 days with FaceTime, Anyhow.
There is an assortment of beautiful dark haired women dressed to the 9s who walk the hallways silently strutting about like Clydesdale thoroughbreds yet their purpose and job description is never really revealed - some sort of Spanish or Armenian royalty -
This facility knows how to bill insurance and you are quick to be asked to leave after detox. Numerous men with no family visitors in the facility told me "They told me I need a higher level of care so I'm going to..." and sure enough,
I was called into my therapist, who plays the "Bad Cop" role and told the same script -
"But I don't have any mental health diagnosis?"
"Yeah... Yeah... so, you can't stay here - Mmhmm." (They receive much more money for detox patients than residential)
So God just kicked open doors for me and after allowing me to use my cellphone I recieve a call from a Spirit-Filled Recovery home near Treasure Island and said they have an open bed...
Well, God is knocking. So I was quickly "Administration Discharged" for inappropriate behavior after seven minutes earlier being told I needed a higher level of care.
They were nice enough to order me an Uber to the house. However, I had to march up and down the hallways and coordinate with medical (the heros) otherwise I'd of been a hot mess as administration again was clueless to any of my needs.
My emergency contact texted me in the lobby: "Boy they sure are quick to taddletale let me know when you get somewhere safe."
So in closing:
Detox is great and they throw ativan like Flintstone vitamins.
If you desire family contact, likely a first time in treatment; a young adult child; a housewife drying out and the sorts this place will allow that.
It lacked any sense of community. There was no real authority structure as the princesses held the scepter yet were unapproachable.
The BHTs were young and cheerful yet felt lacking. Elijah is a good young man yet remember, my friend, we salute the rank not the man. However, for their young age they did a good job.
How this facility is #2 for Newsweek rankings in Florida baffles me. I've only been to one other facility - Whitesands in Plant City - and that facility is head and shoulders above this one.
So 9 hours ago I was in the facility... and I landed in Treasure Island and got a job clearing out a field across the street (knocking on doors!) and now I'm falling asleep in my own room surrounded by other believers of Jesus and that's how God works!
This facility served its purpose of keeping me from being homeless and allowing God to work in the background. I also may of thought a young woman was obviously the love of my life only to realize... maybe not.
Thank you and I hope this review helps not only the reader - yet the facility also.

One of the best facilities I’ve ever been to. All of the staff were great especially the techs and the therapists. If you or any of your friends or family are going through addiction issues I can’t think of a better facility than riverside and I thank all of the staff for helping me get my life back on track.
