Unfortunately, the experience declined when it came time to select eyeglasses. I was looking for a basic pair for occasional use, mainly night driving. The sales associate was pushy, steering me toward frames priced over $400 and insisting that the options fully covered by my "excellent" vision insurance wouldn’t work for me. After choosing a frame, I was pressured into the highest-level lens upgrades and told simpler lenses were not an option. Despite Pearle Vision being a “Plus” in-network provider, I was quoted nearly $500 out of pocket. The next day, I purchased a complete pair of glasses at Warby Parker in Hyde Park Village, with all upgrades included, for $95. If you’re shopping for glasses, proceed with caution at the Pearle Vision in South Tampa. The upselling felt excessive and left me feeling pressured and uncomfortable.
